So i see alot of threads and what not talking about how to get you truck unstuck. Which is really good and all and they give some good info for everyone to use. Me being in the Marines, i know sometime the way they tell you and the way you get it done is not always the samething. So i wanted to know how you got yourself unstuck (pictures if you got them). If you did it like everyone else and just had someone pull you out or if you did it with some crazy idea that worked. Maybe no one was there to pull you out, no winch, or no space to get pulled out, etc. Let see how the gears in our head turn in a jam.

There are some creative people on here.. this should be good.

I once got stuck in the snow (wish i had pics) in my first gen. Both my brother and i got high centered. Was totally unprepared.. ended up shovelling out under the truck and enough space to turn around with a hockey stickand windshield scraper. Fortunately the snow was pretty solid on top and came out in chunks!

actually that is what happen to me to but without the snow. i got high centered and ended up digging almost the whole hill out. I figured some of these guys out there had some better ideas.

Yeah, would have been a better story if siphoned some fuel out of the tank and lit it around the truck melting the snow.. or something like that... Next time!

Best thing to do is Stop, get out and anylize the situation. The key thing to getting unstuck is to figure out WHY you are stuck. Most times youre stuck, its due to a traction issue. Jack the truck up, and place something, or things, under the tires to give them traction. If youre stuck on a rock, or debris, figure out a way to get it out from under, or a way to get the truck off, once again, this may involve digging, and jacking.

Custom Projector fog lights, Anytime Fog Mod, HIDS, White LED accent lighting on a Single post double toggle swicht, so they light up wit my door/dome light, or always on, or never on. that basicly sums it up

and this one time i got stuck in some soft sand and i lowered the tire pressure and had my buddy hop on my rear bumper since it was the rear tires as i slowly gave it gas, hoped right out, then turned around :(

I've "rocked" myself out of many sticky situations in the mud. One time I had to use my bottle jack to jack up my rear axle so I could throw large rocks in the holes I dug and it got me out

Use a shovel or something and clear a path for the tires and clear anything you're hung up on. Rock the truck back and forth. Have someone jump on the bumper. Don't dig too deep. Jack the truck up, stack rocks, brush, wood, anything solid under the tires. Pave a road to freedom.

Proper gear makes everything easier though. Honestly if you think you're going to be stuck quite a few times, I would suggest investing.

Waffle boards (or maxtrax) are awesome btw and I would suggest those and a shovel before hi-lift and sliders. However all are very useful in self recovery.

Just remember to bring the gear before you go out.
