Yes. Just buy a cheap 4x4 for a trail rig.

The protection with the sliders and the fact I can just use a hi lift to jack the truck up instead of trying to find random pieces of wood for the bottle jack to work were the two convincing factors.

Colin don't you have tires to plasti dip?

Didn't you get the steps for your truck?

Since Adam does take his truck off road I would say it is a good idea to invest in sliders. This isn't based on the capability of the truck; it is based on the environment the truck is going to be used in.

and i already did plastidip them and guess what, my problem with bald tires is solved, now they are super slick racing tires :burnrubber:

Your point is??? That is like saying guys with little peckers don't need to use condoms... Adam should still not be a fool and wrap his tool. Rocks do not care if his truck is 2WD or 4x4; they will damage his truck either way.

Colin you didn't slam your truck down or slid it across a rock with those steps. They would never survive anything like that. A rock that you are lucky wasn't any bigger slightly rubbed against your steps.

I just think that the best way to mod a 2wd truck is to make it LOOK as cool as possible, since it's not going to perform like a 4wd no matter what you do. That's obviously what Colin has done too.

    Let's gets real it's basically a car with a bed...come on...

Kinda odd; I have been stuck more in my 4x4 than my PreRunner.

Honestly I have never "needed" 4x4 yet. So far my 2wd has pushed me through trails I never thought possible. And those trails can inflict rocker panel damage.

Like I said off road wasn't the only reason I got these

Maybe your truck is a funny looking car. My truck is used to haul bulky items in the bed and hook up to trailers to haul items that won't fit in the bed. While it is my daily driver; it isn't uncommon for me to load the cab and bed with materials and equipment for a day's work.

Keith I would love to see a lexus drive through traila like bridgeport.

    Or tow 6500lbs

Or drive threw water higher than a foot.

Deffinatly not a car with a bed on it
