    Thanks for the welcome!

Forgot the name of the small lake where the photo was taken with the camper & kayaks, on the BRP between Julian Price Lake campground & Blowing Rock.

Got the Toyota loaded with the Kayaks & getting ready to go back to Julian Price Lake today. Took this photo a few minutes ago with the Kayaks on a Thule rack. Time to go Kayaking.

Removal o' the front flaps... (so far)
Ha ha... that bear pic reminds me; me and my dad were driving up an old dirt road in an old '76 Bronco w/ no doors or top on it when two black bears came rolling off the side of the bank just swinging at each other about thirty feet from us. Huge bears, both 300 pounds plus, that sort of made our hair stand on end but they weren't paying us any attention. :D I love the woods!!!

The Pickup does not have rust. My Son gave it to me seven years ago when he got a 2003 Tacoma with 2.4L and 5 speed manual transmission.

Over the last two years, installed new wheels/tires, brake pads, clutch master & slave cylinders, water pump, starter, radiator, hoses, belts, valve cover gasket, and used camper shell off of a Tacoma a guy gave me for free. Need to straighten the front bumper.

The overlook you asked about is Sims Lake on the BRP.

The top of Grandfather mountain was in the clouds during this shot yesterday.

My wife took this photo of me on Julian Price Lake yesterday :)

Table Rock and Shortoff both have them some good rock climbin'...

Anyway, welcome. Your new Tacoma won't quite have the rustic appeal of the older pickup, but it should last just as long.

    Thanks for the Welcome.

Will continue taking good care of the pickup until I get the Tacoma.
Two people in line to buy the Pickup when I am ready to sell it.

Have not done any rock climbing, only hiking, but like to watch folks climbin' at Stone Mountain NC.

Stone is arguably my favorite crag in the state. Too hot out there for climbing right now though. Season starts in October.
