I put mile 100.000 on my 2006 TACO . I hope to get alot more !

 

Cleaned these wheels last night. They are in great shape for the price. I have the center caps removed for cleaning. These wouldn't be my first choice if I were spending $200/wheel but I couldn't pass up the deal on Craigslist.

I probably won't get a chance to mount these on the truck until September when I get back from South Africa (yay work trip!). I'm thinking about 265 75 16 Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10 . Stock tires only have 10K miles on them but over the winter I hated driving in snow/ice with the Dunlops!

 

So I put the WeatherTech side window deflectors on. Not exactly what I expected but they function and look as advertised. I had the stick on kind with an old truck I had and they were pretty noisy wind wise with the window open. These are better but there is a little increased wind noise. The side mirror seems to vibrate at highway speeds too. But not severely, just enough to notice.
Also I put in the WeatherTech floor mats this afternoon. I like the floor mats these are certainly better than the factory carpet mats which are nearly shot after two years. Now to get them dirty.

I'll try to take a picture tomorrow but not really earth shattering changes on this Taco.

Naw....I'm gonna leave the taco like it is....looks nice...ill post pics tomorrow. I literally finished like 20 min ago and its dark lol. Took me about 30 min to debadge the whole taco.

 

U use fishin line? If u see remnants of 3m tape wd40 works great

yea used fishline, heat gun, adhesive remover and 30 min...

 

Hahahaha you noticed that? I asked the dealership to give me a roll when I bought the truck. It was part of the "deal"

I just got done disabling my DRLs in my 2011 Taco thanks to a walkthrough on this forum. Will be putting in switchback LEDs like I had in my 2002 Ram that I traded UP to my Taco. If you have not seen switchback LEDs here is the vid of them on my Ram.

Started work on a grill emblem from MetalMiller.





Received a grill emblem from Jeff, MetalMiller. To continue with my Texas Edition theme I ordered the state of Texas shaped emblem. A few years back I picked up the Texas Edition State badge when I was at the dealer with my son, I never used it as a could not find a suitable location for it. When I received the grill emblem form Jeff, remarkably the badge is the exact size and shape. I had the state portion milled out so the badge will sit flush or near flush, didn't want to remove to much metal and weaken the emblem. Anyone that has one of these emblems knows they come in a unfinished condition. As it sits, I have about 10 hours in the sanding and polishing, a couple more hours and I will send it off to the plater to do the final prep and chrome plating. I will post up another picture when completed.
