    It's not widespread- Depending on the numbers you want to use...Some where between 6% and 27% of Americans use marijuana. And anecdotal evidence like "all 5 of the dudes I work with smoke all the time" doesn't help cause I work with 117 folks who don't.

    I could expand it...I work with 40K or so that dont...There are a couple that do...but they tend to not last that long.

    Folks do realize that it's a bill to put the decision to control marijuana in the hands of the state, not to legalize it? If it passes, nothing is going to change, at least not for another 15-30 years.

    Well, maybe California will legalize it... But as far as it being legal on a national level, that will never happen, not in the bible belt or any of the red states.

    It's difficult to say just how many people currently smoke marijuana (occasional user, daily, hourly whatever) as people answering the survey would be admitting to taking part in illegal activity and posessing an illegal substance. None of my coworkers smoke marijuana (all 4 of them), most of my friends either smoke or used to, I don't anymore.

    I had to chime in. I smoked for years and years but cannot anymore. I have had MS for thirteen years now. My neurologist tells me of no measurable positive benefit in smoking pot for someone like me. I did it anyway and HE IS RIGHT! Legalize it for other reasons but don't claim it's good for people with MS. Have a nice day.
