    I am considering an ome kit but my question is what should i do as far as the rear lift option when buying the kit? I'm not going to be doing much serious offroading just mainly doing it for looks. Also if wanting to get a full 3" out of the front should i get the 885s with 1/2" spacer or could I just get the 886s without the spacer. My truck is an 09 dc.

    i just ordered the complete ome with the dakar leaf spring. i think that's the way to go even if you don't plan on hauling anything. the 886 coils is for a heavy front bumper and whinch combo. if you don't have the bumper and whinch i wouldn't go with 886's.

    Yea i see what you are saying. Any other thoughts on the rear options? Or do you think the dakars are a must too.

    the dakar is not a must, i went with the dakar b'c i read some threads in here with the aal flattening out after a while. but is really up to you and your budged. the dakar is kinda pricey, i just wanted to spend the money one time and not to have to jack with it again. i ordered mine ome from toytec, their shipping rates are much better than wheelers and also they have a coupon code you can use.

    Yea the price is what gets me with the dakars. But I have a white dc and I want to put 17" ballistic jesters on 285 70s. How do u think that'll look. Any other suggestions?

    I have the 886 coils and a ARB and a winch and the coils are still pretty stiff. I could not imagine it without the bumper and winch, it would rattle your teeth:D:D

    I ran the 886s without my AP bumper and winch for almost a year. It aint bad at all, and it didn't sag one bit.

    now how old are your 886's? they have a new manufacturing process for those coils.

    Got them 08/2008. And I just checked, I didn't get the AP bumper till 07/2010 and the winch til last month. So I was on them for a while with no extra weight.

    I have an ARB and WARN on my 07 DC. I went full ome 886 and dakars. no spacers and i got over 3 inches of lift up front when i first installed them. I got mine from sierraexpeditions.com when they were running a 10% coupon. The price when i ordered was $986ish plus 10% off so i basically got free shipping. It may have gone up slightly since then

    Full OME lift with Dakars, 886s and LR UCA's, Firestone air bags w\ onboard compressor, 2 kicker CVT 10" subs , MB Quart 1000w amp ,Alpine media player
    the dakars are the only way to go in the rear and just get the 886s even if u dont have a winch bumper. the ride is firm and nice not teeth rattling
