Some. But its still an ifs truck with a 6" lift. So its not gonna be anything crazy. It'll ride better for sure.

You could probably make as much selling the stuff you take off as you have to put out to get it back to 3-6" with smaller tires. Jmo

Do you have a legit Off-Road shop in town?

If so....go to them and ask ?'s....How much to do this and that and see what they will charge. That way it's done right.

Because you would still have to do something with the blocks. Furthermore, you wouldn't really get much flex or have it be MUCH less of a harsh ride (its sort of what you could expect with a such a tall lift on an IFS vehicle). Lastly, what's mainly killing your gas mileage is your tires. You NEED to get smaller tires than the 38's you're running.

If you did what someone above me suggested, you could take off the spacers, exchange your 6" block for a 3" block, and throw 35's on.

Personally, I'd try my best to get rid of the body lift completely. You're going to run into more mechanical issues that way, though. So if you don't have the knowledge and tools, this could wind up being a pretty expensive route, especially with the parts needed.

Honestly, I'd say you have two major options... The first is to post up in your regional thread and ask for help on a mod day. Explain your situation, point people to this thread, and hope for the best. The people on TW are generally friendly (although really sarcastic) and willing to help... The second option is to hope to God someone see's it, has always wanted a "jacked up" truck, and doesn't know enough about lifts to realize they're getting in over their head. Throw it up on CL and update every couple of days. Put a for sale sign up, too.

    Hope this helps! :)

no its alot harder to go back to stock after all of this crap thats been added(because they had to do some cutting) look at my truck and my pics on my profile thats what yours will look like with a 6 in and 35s and i get decent gas mileage nothing outrageous but with how little i make i live comfortably and still have play money in the end

seriously, just listen to what we are saying, remove the 38's and the spacer and get a 3" block instead of the 6" and go with a set of 35's

at this point i think i'm just gonna hold on to it b/c its very apparent that no one on here will want this truck.. so it kinda became an advice thread..

other than the insurance increase we acctually came out better b/c we got an extra grand for the truck than we bought it for 2 years earlier..
and this truck they only paid for a part and i paid the rest...
and i didnt say it wasnt good enough i was asking how to improve gas milage and get a lil more flex in the truck..

I'm not going to comment on his ability to be content -- I don't think that's a valid argument.

I will say that I'd look into how much you can sell your tires for now before wearing them out. If the increase in MPGs and the price you can sell for are right, you might be better off selling and going with the 35's now instead of later.

Just something to consider. I really do hope all this works out for you!
