You obviously do not read anything at all. You did not have to post in this thread did you? Was someone twisting your arm? I am pretty sure that since I started the thread asking for support(from people that agree) on a petition and you came in throwing your 1¢ around that you and your friend are the trolls...

Wow, that 5-7 day withdrawal period must be a killer. Do you really think that they interviewed thousands of people?

I do realize this, others however probably do not.

Colorado will be sticking it on the ballot to completely legalize in 2012 with or without the feds.

I have a friend who I went backpacking with who smoked pot everyday, multiple times a day. We went on a backpacking trip for 2 weeks along with some other guys, he definitely suffered from withdrawl. There was another guy on the trail with us who didn't smoke as often who didn't suffer as bad but was still off. Your statement is false. I know I am probably gonna get bashed for this but the youth Pastor at my church used marijuana in his teens, he had an incredibly hard time giving up marijuana. I know of three cases which prove your statement is incorrect. Nothing else to say about the subject.

nope sorry not sarcasm. comparing caffeine to alcohol is kind of ridiculous, and a very weak argument to say the least. The definition of a drug is "something that alters and body or mind". so is caffeine a drug? yes. Is it addictive? yes. Is it a gateway drug? no

and i would like to elaborate on the problems.
    1) the most obvious would be driving on the roads. we already know drivers are bad as it is, dont need to throw pot into the equation.
2)we would waste a countless amount of tax payers money on lawsuits against business that fire employees that come to work high or dont pass a drug test, the court cases would be endless
3)what makes you think you wouldnt be able to get a dui orpublic intoxication being high? thats a stupid comment
4)wouldnt really solve any recession problems
    5) we would also spend millions wondering why we are seeing an increase number in lung cancer cases. much like how we spend millions trying to figure out why america is fat

I love how the OP just automatically assumes that since HE has no issues with "dependency" that no one else who uses the drug does

    YOU ARE NOT THE MAJORITY!

Not mad at all. I find immaturity and stupidity quite funny and you and rex seem to have a never ending supply. Keep up the good work.

I've been around enough Marijuana to know it can impair people. It is addicting, ok, not chemically but lifestyle, similar to modding a Tacoma ... :p

I also have seen it be a gateway drug. I also think it has the potential in some people to induce extreme laziness. I don't need any more neighbors that don't mow their fucking lawns. There are some people that will not experience any of this. Just like some people who don't become alcoholics.

Regardless, it doesn't matter what any state does. It's illegal on a federal level.

I've never smoked it and probably never will, but I agree with legalizing it because...

    1. It is not the government's job to protect us from ourselves. This is the same reason that "forcing" someone by law to wear a motorcycle helmet or to buy health insurance (ring a bell?) is B.S. You always need to ask the question... "Does someone else doing it in their own home (like alcohol) infringe on my rights?" There should be structured laws around keeping that from happening (i.e. no drinking and driving, no public drunkenness, etc.), which there would be with marijuana as well.

    2. It is a tremendous waste of taxpayer money fighting it.
