    neglect, mostly.
yeah but on the flip side of the easy production, look how much money it would cost secure it. people don't go into tobacco fields to steal leafs because you'd have to cure it and so on and so on. security to prevent theft would have to be a huge cost to the growers on a large scale because like you said, its ready to go when grown. while there is money to be made, having to produce it indoors with tons of lights, fans for fresh air, irrigation and so on would be a HUGE electric bill for the facility and that cost would get passed down to the consumer. hell, that's how a lot of grow houses are busted, electric bills.

and there would (i would think) be more taxes than that on it. that new obama tax on cigarettes (that goes to childrens health care or something like that) jacked up the price of a pack of smokes (in NC) from 2.89 a pack to over 5 bucks last year. same kind of thing would be hit on grass im sure.

I see you are finally coming around. I could care less if you believe me or not. It's crazy that you think it is some type of highly addictive thing that people can't put down.

a pack of smokes is around $12 in Canada, mostly taxes. If I still smoked MJ I would rather pay a little more and not worry about getting busted for possession or paraphernalia.

Yes, I read the couple sentences of "quotes".

I do need. Please post the links to the articles or studies so I can read them in their entirety.

Did you read the scientific backed study that I posted? A little bit longer than a couple quotes but it sure blows the hell out of your theory.

The idea that one substance is a gateway drug and another isn't has never made sense to me.

If cannabis is possibly a gateway drug is because it is illegal. Get your illegal pot from a dealer that has a whole assortment of illegal drugs and you certainly might try something more harmful because the laws put it all in the black market.

Illegal pot is a gateway to the criminal underworld where a lot of bad things can be found, often pushed by very bad people.

If you only smoked pot once a month,I'd doubt you would make a thread about making it legal. :D. I think you smoke twice a month

does anyone realize that it's already illegal to drive high? it's called DUI. driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

if you drink and drive, DUI. if you smoke pot and are obviously high, DUI. if you smoke crack and drive, DUI (plus alot more trouble I'm sure)

x2 ;) i think legalizing marijuana would also stop a lot of the drug violence on the US borders. Especially in texas and arizona.
