Hey blacktaco, did you have to do the chop cab mount after you changed to the 295 or did the chop have to be done with the 285s also? Do you the a different rim offset/backspace or a higher lift would have made a difference not to have to do the cab mount chop? Thanks and i hope you can understand what i am asking.

I had to do the chop after i got my 295's
I bought the right rims with a good backspace of 4.5, so they stick out, and so I dont need to get wheel spacers.
A higher lift would avoid the cab mount chop.

    Your welcome!
Whenever I went wheelin the tires would rub like no other on the flares. But on the street I never had any issues with rubbing.

Hahaha, the dank tank... awesome bro, spaded and faded.

So in order to stuff the 295s on 17s in there I have to lift a minimum of 3", do the cab mount chop, replace the UCAs, and maybe remove the sway bar?

    Hahaha hell yeah! :D
I would say a 3" lift would be your best bet along with a cab mount chop. New UCA's lowerd my truck, but fixed my alignment. Removing the swaybar just helps with the ride quality off road.

-OME 885's on 5100's (still deciding if I should install w/ top plate spacers for a full 3")

    -TC uca's

-Icon 1.5" 3 leaf progressive pack without overload leaf for a plush ride.

I noticed that in one of your posts you stated that the uca's LOWERED you a bit?

i'm gearing next and looking into detroit mechanical locker for the rear and a detroit e locker for the front. that would be a nice little set-up.
