Both good idea. I still like my idea of a mix tape. Chicks dig mix tapes.

Your going to have to explain a "mix tape" to him. Hate to say it, but I remember making them.

    I bet you are right.

A "mix tape" was back in the day before digital music was around. You would put a casset tape into your radio and wait for a song to come on the radio that you wanted to record. When it came on you would press record. You would record songs that were romantic or had some sort of meaning with you two.

Hope this helps explain what a mix tape is.

And then not forget to stop recording before the song was completly over so as to not get any of the commercials or next song. It took some work; but with practice you could make it happen.

I even remember recoding 3 metalica songs in a row on mandatory metalica. I think it came on at 11 on 97.1.
I miss being able to record whatever song you wanted. Brings back some good memories.

Ironically there wasn't a huge "illegal recording" issue back then. The amount of music that got ripped off back then is probably more than today. :D

That's the first time someone has said that to me. I feel fortunate to grow up when I did. I was able to see technology change in a few short years. I am only 28 but from about the time I was 10 till now technology has changed in ways I never thought would happen.

It didn't hurt you a bit did it?

It suprises most people; but the first house I remember living in back in Alabama was a little building with no electricity and only gravity fed water. My mom still cooked on a wood stove and had to run a pump to feed water up the hill to the house. From there when we moved to Missouri things got "better" with electricity and a phone. From that to cell phones, Internet anywhere, and the use of computers in everything now days is amazing. I'm only 27 (going to be 28 next week); I'm not that old really. I have some friends who can tell you about when they first started hanging all the power lines in the area and the difference that made in their lives. THAT is an amazing story.
