Yes they are rubbing on the finders. I have trimmed some already and don't really want to trim any more than i have to.

Lift the frame of the truck up in the front 1" using jack and stands and see how much added clearance that gives you. Still have to figure the flex of the suspension when hitting a bump though. The body lift will help, but may not eliminate the rub.

You should trim a little more than that and be good

Thats pretty close. I think you will need to trim quite a bit more to stop rubbing with any flex.

My 33s tap the fender flares when turning up a steep grade and any speed. But I have only trimmed a touch.

So would these 33's roughly come out to about 285/70/17's?

Stan's were 33x12.50s so they are wider than 285s but about the same height as the 285/70/17

I like 33's for the simple fact that you keep the better gas mileage but on the 4 doors they look so small. I'm probably just going to go with the 35's, they make the 6" lift look that much better imo.

Yeah, I agree. I just bought some 33s so hopefully in another 30 thousand miles I'll have enough money for 35s and new gears!!!

Does anybody know of a thread that shows how to take the 2nd gen swaybars off? I've been looking for the past hour and can't find one. I've heard it is harder on the 2nd gens than on the 1sts.

X2 here....sometimes I look at my 33"s and I say "damn, I want some 35"s". but then I remember the better gas mileage and no rubbing issues.
