Lets see. Recently photo radar cameras have been a pain in my ass, but when I lived in Cali I got all kinds of fun tickets.

One for following too closely, ($$$$$) a few speeding, (got pulled over once for 6 over the speed limit)

and the most expensive untill recently was turning left in a left hand turn lane over a double yellow. Most people do this every day, they dont go all the way to the end of the turn lane to flip a "u" to get into a gas station parking lot. They just turn straight in, not even noticing the double yellow. The kind police officer walked right up to my window, (since he was already writing a few other people the same ticket) and asked for my license/registration. I initially thought it was a joke, since no sooner thru it into park and he was at my window. After showing me his badge, I was pretty convinced :(

without getting into a pissing match

If i'm in a defensive situation in which i feel the need to draw a firearm...i dont want to waste crucial seconds dealing with racking a slide...this creates a possible failure point at which time youre now holding a firearm that will not function

    oh...and its a mag not a clip

because if you need to use it for some ungodly reason.. wasting time putting one in the chamber will more than likely leave you shit out of luck. the training that i do is draw and fire. also... should it be home defense.. the distinctive sound of a slide going back is an easy give away to where you are. its a double edged sword though, because im pretty sure if i was snooping around and heard a round chambered.. id get the hell out.

i laughed pretty hard at the expensive brick bit, haha but its true. if im going to carry... its going to be loaded.

That 1/2 second it takes to rack one may be that 1/2 second u needed to protect the life of a love one, child, or yourself. I always keep one chambered.

Not really a great story, but me and my buddies were off base driving to or from some club... lights come on behind us.

Female cop comes to the window.
    Friend driving: Good evening sir.
    Female cop: I'm a ma'am.
Buddy in passenger seat: Good luck getting out of this one.
Female cop gives him a ticket for speeding.

i was driving to santa clarita rocking out to country going the speed limit when a 2010 tundra flew up behind me. i moved over, let him pass (he was going about 80-85) then i got back in my lane. Another car was flying up to me and ended up tailgating me so i passed a simi and then moved over to the left lane to let him pass.

i looked in my mirror and saw he was slowed way down and that there was a chp officer off to the side of the road already writing a person a ticket. I thought what a jerk im letting him pass and he slowed down . Just then i see a cop behind him and i was like o makes sence the cop is going after the tundra mentioned previously. So i move back to the right lane to let the cop go get the tundra and then all the sudden he flips his lights on and pulls ME over.

I was seriously confused because i was still going the speed limit. He gave me a ticket because i guess there is a new law i never heard of....it is the "move over law" supposably if a cop is pulling someone over you have to give him a ton of room, and i did the opposite by trying to let the guy that was tailgateing me (cop didnt see that part) pass.

driving back from santa clarita i saw the guys hideout and it was about 3 miles from where i got pulled over, so it really tells me he was going after the trundra he just lost sight of him and i was an eaiser target....

Im going to try and fight it....these new laws are not well publicized. My i talked to a few firefighters and they said the law is less than a year old and they just recently found out about it. Plus i wanted the guy off my butt

so you were in middle lane with a guy tailgating so u let him by, by going into the left lane and a cop was like 100 yards back with no lights on, comes up on you and blips you with the lights?

You were rocking out to country music??,,there's the problem right there with a contradiction of terms and the fact that country music was playing.

    smart cop.:p

So you moved back over into the middle lane back behind the Tundra and hindered the officers traffic stop, which in turn pissed him off and he pulled you over apparently??

I think the tailgating is just extraneous info...

He was passed by a tundra, and then some other shit happened...then he notices a cop coming up behind him...moves to the right hand lane and passes the 2nd cop on the side of the road in the lane closest to the cop already on a traffic stop

cop that still behind him pulls him over for the new law

    correct?

Oh, so he blew the stopped officers hat off along side the road, which in turn was seen by his buddy, so he decided to enact some new law,,just because he can.

Not super exciting but funny i guess.

A group of about 10 cars and 20+ of us 17/18 year old kids decided to go check out this house in the country where supposedly this dude killed his whole family.

Kinda suspicious all the riced out loud ass cars out in the country together so we all get pulled over.

Cop has us all get out and stand around while he collects IDs. Pretty funny sight having one cop, one car pulled over 10 other cars at once.

Ended up with no trouble and we all drove off.

A few nights ago I was driving home and saw the blue lights way ahead. Figure it looks like about two patrol cars. Got closer and realized it was 8 cars that pulled over a pickup. About 4 cops were sweeping the ditch (probably looking for drugs lol) and another group had the guy on the ground. His pickup was facing the opposite direction, and all the cars that would have been behind him were now in front because he was backwards, make sense? so maybe they had to do a pit maneuver? Was sort of exciting.

When I was stationed in Turkey I used to ride my bike from my friends dorm to my dorm after drinking. One night we weren't done drinking so I brought my beer and a cigarette and rode across base drinking and smoking :)

Can't imagine what would have happened if a SP saw that lol

the tailgating is crucial info, i forgot to mention it was a 2 laned road. (well 4, 2 on each side) I was being tailgated, moved from the left lane to the right lane to let the guy pass, after getting in the right lane i notice there is a cop on the side of the road. (couldnt really see him before because there was a big rig that was ahead blocking my view) I look at the tailgater and he slowed way down. i look behind him and there is a cop. Cop moves from the left lane into the right lane. I move from the right lane to the left lane going to let the cop pass me and get the tundra, cop follows me and pulls me over.

driving along and i saw a super hot girl jogging and decided to start honking. lone behold, i cop is sitting a block down. pulls me over. im thinking oh shit...

    officer: good evening
    me: hi..
officer: so do you know why i pulled you over tonight?
    me: because i was honking?
officer: close... you were honking, you have tinted windows, and what this deal with this bumper on the front?
me:eek:h no i didnt know it was illegal to honk and have tinted windows.. we bought it from the dealer like this. and the bumper i just put on and was driving back from paso.
officer: well you need a front plate on your bumper
me: oh... i didnt know that. how exactly to i get this tint off?
officer: go to any tint shop and get that shit pulled off (he said shit)
me: but what exactly kind of tint can you have?
officer: the only tint you can have it ones that reduce UV rays.. which is clear
me: so whats the point of that?
    :eek:fficer i dunno..
    me: oh okay..

he gets my registration and license and all that

then the officer walks away and starts writing.. im thinking im soooooo fucked their is no way im going to the 805 meet next weekend.. while this is happening my friends who was in the passenger seat looks and sees his sister drive by. so after that the officer comes back and says

    officer:well brian..
    me:yes?
officer: im giving you a fix it ticket for your tint.. and tell your friend that was running, to keep running so i can give more tickets to people
me: oh okay ill tell jamie (had nooo idea who that girl was) to stop, have a good night officer..

    the end.

First off, if your on a two lane highway, you should be in the right lane. The left lane is for passing only!! It doesn't matter if it's a cop on the side of the road or a broken down car, you change lanes(getting into the left lane)to give them room, for respect and safety. If your every broke down on the side of the road and have cars flying by you just a few feet away doing 80-85 mph, you'll understand why. I'm glad you got a ticket, you deserved that one. I hope you get sent to driving school, your young and you might learn something.
