    Yep. Oddly, the house my parents had bought in the late 70's in southern CA was $275,000. 5 bedroom 1.5 acres and a swimming pool. About 5 years ago it was appraised over a million dollars. :eek:

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    another weird thing was that when i used to live about 30 mins SW of atlanta, our house was 4br/3ba and 3200 sq ft and on 2 acres for $135k. the same house 10 mins north in peachtree city would have been 3-4 times as much.

    Gotta wait for my hookup to do inventory, went around pricing tvs but no one has the same tvs.... Hard tp actually price, def. Not getting a 3d, technology isnt there yet

    I like the samsungs the best but if i can get an 55" lg for sub a 1k ill prolly go with that

    Renting in richmond is worse than that, i was renting a 3bed 2.5bath for a 1000, ten blocks away u couldnt get a 1 bedroom apartment for less than 1500 and still have to pay fpr parking

    :sorry: FMR = F*** Me Running GSAR = Georgia Search And Rescue. I belong to the GSAR team and am on call to be deployed for natural disasters or mass casualty incidents in the state. Had to go through 8 months of rigorous (not for the weak) training. We do training once a month so we don't lose our skills. But doing carpentry and welding in smoldering heat is gonna SUCK. :pout:

    If we have a building collapse and have trapped victims, we are the ones to get them out. Sooooo we build shoring to stabilize buildings. And may have to cut through metal beams to get to people too. A good portion of our technical rescue teams are medically trained, so when we get to the patient, we can do something. The other things we had to learn were: Confined Space Rescue, Rope Rescue (rappelling, high angle), and Trench Rescue. Learned all sorts of stuff. :D Our team has 75 members. It's a lot of fun.
