    Hey from WI, I've been watching and reading this site since Nov.08 and have already learned tons. Finally got the guts to install my 3" lift thanks to all the info. This site really is addictive. So anyway, "hello" and thanks for all information.

    Thanks, this support group thing is cool. Now, I do have a question that I have'nt been able to find an answer to here. I would like to take the winch from my jeep and mount it on my truck but I really don't want to spend the $ on the ARB type bumpers. Have you guys seen any other options? Maybe something not so big and heavy.

    Welcome to TW! Have you looked into front mounted hitch recievers at all? If they are available, I would think that paired up with a hitch mounted winch cradle, would be considerably cheaper.

    Thanks, no I had not thought of the front reciever option. I'm not sure what to do exactly, I need front protection (don't want to completely destroy my front plastic bumper if I'm winching at an angle) but maybe that type of set-up would extend out far enough to not be an issue. My suspicion though is that I will need some type of metal bumper just to save myself a bunch of grief.
