    Hey guys,

Just bought my 2011 DC PreRunner at Central Florida Toyota off OBT in Orlando and I was curious if anybody had a preference of service departments in the Orlando/Sanford area?

I'm picky about my trucks so I want to be sure the techs are decent and they aren't going to half-ass anything.

I have zero experience with any of the Toyota dealerships down here as I just moved to Orlando last March and have owned an Xterra since last August.

    Any input is appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Fink:headbang:

I've never had any problems with Toyota of Orlando on hwy 50 in Pine Hills, I've bought two trucks from them and had them services occasionally, but I prefer to do everything myself.

My mom, on the other hand, had her 4Runner serviced and they put it on the wrong lift- drove it up and crushed a section of the roof against a hose reel, then tried to deny that it happened.

Thus the reason why I do my own service.

Good to know you have experience with them. My only hesitation was the shitty job that the detail guys did when I took delivery of it last week.

If you don't mind, PM me your last name and I'll use you as a reference...maybe you'll get a coupon or something...

A few years back I didn't think the last name Fink was that popular...but just in the past year or two, I've met about 10-15 Finks.

    Thanks for the welcome!

I just don't have the space to do it given that I park in a parking garage at my condo complex.

The lift incident scares me, though...

    Thanks for the info!

Me too! They fixed the damage, but didn't do a great job on the touch-up paint. Granted, it's on the top of the truck where nobody would ever see it ANYWAY, but thats not the point obviously.

I'd stick with the one on OBT probably.

It appears you'd be the right dude to ask about this, then...

I have a Concealed Carry Permit from Arkansas that is valid, so I am assuming it will also apply here in Florida given that Florida is a reciprocal state as long as I follow all concealed carry restrictions in Florida, correct? Does that still apply now that I have lived here for about 18 months and have a Florida DL?

    Thanks for the replies, guys!

    Thanks for the info, dude.

Sounds like Central Florida Toyota is the place to go - especially since I bought my truck from them, had a good buying experience (except the detail job) and it's closer than David Maus is.

Your CCW from Arkansas should be O.k. here in Florida. However, I would not chance it here in Orlando. Cops here are very pro-arrest. They will take anyone for anything. Best thing to do is get a Florida CCW. You can take the class at a gun show. They have them at the Central Florida Fair grounds every three months. Cops here in Orange County will wonder why you don't have a Florida CCW and will prolong your stop.

By the way, I forgot to ask. Which parts guy do you work with at Central Florida Toyota?

I went there to get a bed mat and the center console net and the guy could only come down $10 on the bed mat because I showed him TRDParts4U.com's price.

Wow, that's a very...interesting pic. I definitely won't be going there - that place just looks sketch.

Hopefully they get it all straightened out...pun intended. Let us know what they say!
