so i have an 01 tacoma and put the 881s up front with the bilstein 5100s on 265/75/16 and didnt do anything in the back yet....it doesnt look right....im thinking about 3 inch PA body lift and going with 315/75/16 and new rear leaf springs and matching 5100s but dunno what ill have to change the gear ratio too since i only have the 2.7....any ideas????

so you want to add a body lift then throw on huge ass tires on a 2.7? why not just step up to 285/75s?

i tried the 285s on the size i have right now and the rub like hell....im not a huge fan of body lift but i think itll be easier than taking off suspension i have now in place of 6 inch kit...

Where are you rubbing exactly? A BL is not gonna help if your rubbing anywhere on the frame.

Maybe just leave the suspension alone and get a 6'' bodylift.

see i wish i could run 15 inch rims but i got the weird oversized brakes for the 01 model and it tooooooook forever to find rims that would fit around the calipers without hitting the front face of them

even if i cut and went with true 33s i would need to regear and do alot of work to make it feasible (since its my daily driver) so i figured why not 35s since same amount of work and i get tires cheap...i like the 23 mpg i get now with the 265s and dont want to give that up just for size

the other post are quite littered with junk i was wondering if there was another way to try and clear 33 or 35s without having to go with a body lift and my suspension i have now...i know i can easily go with 6 inch suspension and be good or throw on a body lift but didnt know if there was some creative way yall have made them fit without the conventional ways of doing things

Guys do a number of things bud...and it all invloves cutting and trimming :)

Like getting cab mounts shaved, trimming the plastic inside the wheel wells and cutting the lower portion of the fenders where tires may rub.

Can it really be that hard!!! Just get your 3" suspension lift, buy the tires you want, get a wheel with good backspacing, and if its still doesnt fit then start cutting! ....easy! Your thinking too hard, dont hurt yourself.
