I got a price on a 09 OR, 2x4, Double Cab today. Out the door inc tax tag and title was $24,500. It included towing package and the $200 radio upgrade. I've done my homework and that seems like a pretty good deal but I'm going to check with a couple other dealerships to see if they can beat that.

I'm I doing good so far?

What's the sticker price? Any time you can get a Toyota dealer to go 10% or more off sticker you are doing really good!

Go on-line to toyota.com and search the inventory of dealers within 200 miles of you. You will probably find the exact same truck on someone's lot. Ask for an out-the-door price and tell them you are going to buy one this week. If you get a better price, take it to your dealer and tell them they can match it or you will buy from the other guy.
I did this when I bought my '09 Access in November. I looked at the truck on a Monday night and the dealer gave me a "lowest possible price." I e-mailed 3 dealers and on Wednesday got one detailed quote that was $1,300 less than the local dealer. I called the local guy at 4:00 Wednesday and told him I was going to buy a truck on Saturday; if he could match the price, I'd buy it from him. If not, I would happily drive 130 miles to save $1,300. At 4:15 he called back and met the price. I gave him some data for financing and titling and agreed to meet him at the dealership at 5:30 to sign paperwork. When I got there the truck was prepped and ready to go. I signed the papers, but had him hold the truck until Thursday afternoon so I could get my insurance transferred.

Bottom Line: Using the internet will guarantee you the best price.

Yeah - look around online. I saved about 3 grand by shopping around. Bought my truck in Colorado, even though I live in Texas, because I saved a ton & got 2.9% financing. Did all of my preshopping online & found the best price at http://www.gotoyotaarapahoe.com/
Try them for an online quote & compare them to your dealers. Should be a good time to get a deal! My advice - shop til ya drop & never take the first (or second) offer.

Got this one for &23,500. Base model 4X4 & did my own upgrades for a couple grand more.........

The MSRP is $27,600. The invoice price is $25,235, they are also offering a $1000 rebate which brings it to 24,235. They are telling me I can get it out the door for $24,500 which include a $500 doc fee, tax, tag, and title.

I'm going to call at least 4 more dealerships to see what they can do....quite honestly I don't think I can get it cheaper but I'm going to try. If so Im going to take their price back to my local dealership.

My local dealership is offering a lifetime powertrain warranty with a $100 decuctable after the regular powertrain warranty. So hopefully they will match the dealership with the lowest price.

I was quoted around $24,600 for an SR5 DC. I think I am going to just low ball the hell out of them at like $21,500 and see what they come back with....might work, might not

I wonder if they will really honor that lifetime powertrain warranty thing? Hopefully I don't have to get my oil changed there and stuff like that. Anyone have any experience witht he lifetime warranties?

A friend of mine bought an 04 Taco with a "warranty for life." He told me that in order to keep the warranty in effect, he has to do ALL factory scheduled sevice via the dealer.

Yea I did this. Got a great deal from a dealership in Atlanta. Took that deal to one of my local dealerships and they almost laughed in my face.. Left that one and went to another one 20 minutes away from my house. They didnt give me the best deal but i have bought my last 3 trucks from them so i was happy with the deal...
