Completely against it. Marijuana turned my younger brother into a complete asshole. Before he ever touched the stuff, we could trust him watching my younger sister at home. It came to the point where he would just sit in his room all day with his friends and completely ignore my sister. He was never aware of his surroundings, basically "out of it" all the time. We came to know of this and since then he's been sent to a boarding school and completely changed his ways. This was about 6 months ago and he's going to be there for a until he graduates with a diploma. I know not all scenarios play out like this, it's just my experience with it that makes me completely against it.

Would that have happened if it were legal? This example is clearly about greed and nothing to do with MJ.

This is hilarious... "uneducated people"!? None of my four friends who graduated from Penn and Harvard are for smoking marijuana. Also, Marijuana NEVER killed anyone?! Last week I had an accident scene where, while I cant really be specific, the male (while high on marijuana) walked into the side of a moving train and was drug for half a mile until dead. This happens all the time. These stoners just want to feel less paranoid about killing brain cells. One of my HS girlfriends smoked occasionally and In was ok with it. Great personality. Then she started smoking twice a day and in a year was so burned out I couldn't hold a conversation with her. This is moronic.

Tint, tinted tails + 3rd brake light, shaved tailgate, painted calipers. TSB Leafs+ AAL, PA/CB, 5100 Bilsteins set @ 2.5 up front. Satoshi line-x'd grill.

soooo they wanted to fight because they had weed.. or because they didnt want to get caught?

i bet if you pulled him over, and he had 1 million lbs of LEGAL weed.. the person would laugh cause hes high while your giving him a $100 ticket (about a quad worth) for speeding or illegal turn signal or something stupid like that.

its the person not the drug. kinda like its the shooter not the gun.

The 3.5 lbs was a B'ham drug dealer with a Criminal history of selling Marijuana and Cocaine , and the 5 grams offender was high! By the way if he"s high when I stop him - he goes to jail for DUI - controlled Substance ( or something stupid like that ) to here you tell it

ok so the 3.5 lbs was a legit businessman (in a weed LEGAL society) and therefore would not have been upset and tried to fight for a non-issue and the guy w/ 5 grams that was high, depending on the laws for driving while being "high", (cause you cant test for it because it stays in the system for months) would MOST LIKELY not have tried to grab a gun if weedwere legal.. simple. he was scared cause its illegal..
Also, please refrain from grouping marijuana dealers/smokers/users with people who also do/deal other illegal drugs that most people on this thread agree are not the same as weed.

was the guy high on SOLELY weed, or other things.. lets keep them separate for arguments sake.

oops sorry mixed the two up...

my point is.. THEY WOULDNT BE UPSET AT GETTING A DUI OR TICKET IF IT WERE LEGAL.

because its illegal, people will do crazy things. = Human nature.

Bottom Line....I see the effects of ALL DRUGs and yes Marijuana included , during my job. So I know first hand what it can do on the road and to families.

50%!!! totally changed my mind.. and you say "other drug charges" does that SPECIFICALLY mean a DIFFERENT charge than weed? and where do you get these statistics? (seriously, do you get statistical reports on your arrests and citations and what not)

i believe that other drugs ie cocaine, heroin meth etc etc should not be legalized.

    quick questions:
what % of the people you've given ANY driving citation to have had ANY prior citations?

what about DUI's, what percentage have had one before?

its simple... if weed is legal, would the person with WEED ONLY still attack you?

please leave "other drugs" out as they are NOT part of this conversation unless relating to them, not in conjunction with (yes yes im ejamacated!!)
its like saying i was smoking meth and had a Snickers. i got in a fight. must have been the fructose in the snickers, therefore all persons using/eating snickers be grouped with meth-heads.

have you ever smoked weed before, and not just once. but a few times... and not drunk?

bama, dont mean to jsut call YOU out, im trying to educate others while they eat their ..

i do agree that weed has its problems, so does cough syrup.
but i must say its the people that abuse it that make it a bad drug.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
They would still be getting a DUI if it were legal.
You're not really educating anyone. Everything you've said is purely speculative.

I'm getting my statitics from the arrests' that I have made , on every one of my traffic stops ,I run the license on my in-car computer and it tells me their driving and criminal history (if it's their second weed charge I will know to go Felony ) And every person varies on your question about prior citations , 1 person will be completly clean ,next stop 20+ citations , and the same with DUI's 1 stop no priors ,next stop DUI #8. And yes a person on weed can attack me just like anyone else could , but the chances are higher with a person on a drug or alcohol , it's simply a mind altering substance. You don't know what is going on in that persons head sober or not.

Your four friends might not be for marijuana but if they researched it they would be hard pressed to find a reason it shouldn't be legalized. There are plenty of people that don't personally use it but feel it should be legalized.

I am betting you have never used marijuana, because if you had, you would know it is not "hard" enough to make you walk into the side of a moving train. If it were laced with something then it is a different story.

How exactly did you test him for marijuana?

Did you really just compare marijuana's "addiction" level to cocaine, crack, heroin and meth? And yes, you can only blame the people that chose to do the drugs. How exactly do you blame an inanimate object?

I am sorry, but you spot no holes... at all.
