well about a month ago my wife hit a cement cone at taco bell and pretty much did a good amount of damage to the bumper/rear fender

there were alot of people on the forum with a rear bumper but im low on cash atm so i had to just repair it

anyways pictures tell the story better

    tools:
    bondo
    liner-x
    lots o sanding!!

and while i had the liner-x i was thinking for a long while to get a bug deflector but seeing as i have no cash flow as of right now its my solution

i want to see how time deters this liner cause if its good i plan on doing my whole front grill and bumper with this stuff and prolly going to do another coat on the hood but meh it works for now

anyways tell me what you guys think
    Peace

you did a good job on the repair. but other than the hood looking a little awkward it looks great :)

Damn good job on the repairs, IMO.
I for one like the liner on the hood. I might do that myself, there's a crapload of chips in the paint.

ya i bought this truck originally with 280k miles from an asian dude in san francisco and he said the trucks mostly mileage is from driving from san fran to sacramento to stockton all its life

imo the car runs great and ive had it checked out maintenance wise plenty of times as of right now im at 291k miles and still running strong

but u wouldnt believe the amount of paint chip the front of the car has i had to liner 8 inches because thats where most the chips were at

in due time ill liner all the front and install my fog lights for this upcoming winter

btw what do you guys recommend on fog lights should i put em next to the headlights or on the hole next to the turn signals are at the bottom of the bumper im kinda stuck on where to put em

dont know if next to headlights are more functional or below the bumper

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
    Looks good!
If that ever happens again, give me a holla..I got a spare bumper I'll toss your way for some lunch or something..:D
Only if it ever gets the Taco curse again though!! :p

Fog lights are more functional at bumper height.

Nice repair. What about using the white paint for the back corner on the hood over the lin-x? Then leaving lin-x black on the bumper/grill. Either way, the hood is still better than freckle face chippy chippy.
