I don't care for the desert sand. My truck is the speedway blue and I love the color. I have also had girls tell me it's pretty, lol

I love my BSP...looks cool in the sunlight but its a bitch to take care of. If it was regular black though I probably would have gone with Pyrite (although regular black looks great too)

speedway blue = good color for when you're 16yo, at 17 you smack your head for what were you thinking...

pyrite mica = poop, what were you smelling...

timberland = dark green was popular in the early 90's, even then you looked like you were a forest service worker driving that color, with so many choices, what were you thinking...

red = good color for when you're 15.5yo, at 16 after your first ticket, you smack your head for what were you thinking...and no women drivers you don't need to match your car's color to your nails color...

white = are you a fleet driver?, better put your "how's my driving" sticker on the tailgate, smack your head for what were you thinking while you admire the smudges of dirt after just driving in the rain...

that's all i have to say about that
    :D

Desert Sand Mica is pretty damn gross stock, but with black wheels and black accents, it has a cool, almost military look to it, and then it looks pretty badass.

I would think that's the last adjective one would want describing their truck. But that is why I would not buy the blue, It's too pretty

Old thread, new member, and new Tacoma owner. Some of the colors in this poll are no longer offered. I chose Pyrite Mica for my 2011 Tacoma which I just bought yesterday. Took first photos today. When I first saw the Pyrite Mica a few months ago, and never again till I picked my truck up, my first impressions were I love it. Yesterday when I saw it, I drove a silver one first, and wondered if I’d made a mistake on the color, but I think it will grow on me. The color seems to change with the light. Any love for the Pyrite Mica?

I love Pyrite Mica. Much more earthy and deep than the desert sand mica. If I buy new, that is most likely the color I will get.

You forgot Timberland Mica. Its not bad, but Dessert Sand is defintely the ugliest. Magnetic Gray metallic or Pyrite Mica are in my opinion the best colors.
