You know what I've never seen? A Tacoma next to a Hilux. I'd like to see that.

I talked to the guy at the body shop this morning. He couldn't give me a solid est. But he said it would be under a $1000

I wouldnt even bother ordering one.... it would be a waste of time. Just get him to fabricate a look a like. If you get the hilux hood then you will have to cut, weld, and try to make the body lines match... Just seems like it would be easier to fab up and weld/stick on the new hood.

I'm assuming the Hilux scoop is plastic right? Like the WRX scoops. So it would just be a matter of cutting the square in the hood and fitting it on the tacoma and painting it to match.

If you could just order the scoop that would be good. And I dont think its "plastic" but could be wrong.

yeah. I guess its about as functional as a tacoma trd scoop and more functional than a trd sport scoop.

Instead of modding to accept the Hilux scoop, how about spend the money to produce a bolt in kit that would make the TRD Sport scoop a fully functional CAI? And then sell it to the rest of us!
