I don't even know if they have a Sport or Offroad version , maybe they are all just Hiluxes

This one does have TRD decals on the tailgate though

Well it MUST be a Sport model masquerading as an Offroad , they obviously can not see over the hood to actually wheel that thing

To my knowledge no scoop on the tacoma sport/offroad is functional. I dont know if we are on the same page. I'm not sure if your talking about the hilux or the tacoma.

No, the SR5 hood is the same as the TRD Off Road hood but better, more horsepower! :D

That hilux has a scoop so I'm assuming it's a turbo diesel. It would be interesting to see how they connected the snorkel to the cold side of the turbo.

Because the fake hood scoop looks like a street racer, and with all the color keyed accents, the average guy says wow, this trucks looks good and is a fast looking truck, I want that one! But the guy who off roads cares less for a hood scoop, unless its functional...;)

Great photo to highlight the functional side of the Hulix's Hood Scoop

I know your joking but I own a 2004 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 2.7L five cyl. Turbo diesel. That will heat up to almost 220 degrees on a hot summer day. I've been told this is normal but it makes me nervous to say the least. It seems like the small displacement turbo diesels get hot in a hurry when pulling a hill or a trailer.

220 is still normal for some cars. Especially a turbo car on a hot day in traffic.

Yeah I've just never had a vehicle that would fluctuate that much. On my subaru when the temp needle started to point north it ment a blown headgasket.
