I still prefer the Toyo Open Country MTs over the MTRs. The Toyos are just as tough off road, provide great traction and they last around 40,000-50,000 miles. The Toyos also cost less and are offered in the size I am considering next, 255/85 16.

My sister has the hankook dynopro's that do awesome in the snow according to her. She lives with my dad down in Rye which is at 7k feet in the mountains with little road maintenance the winter.

That sucks man. Yesterday the AP guy at my work said "hey there's a tan sick ass tacoma parked next to yours outside, he's standing outside checking them out"

Haha, hope that charger works out for you.

    A few bolts are different.
Center lugs on the MTR's are already sipped I think. I was in Vail this year and saw a guy who had KM2's sipped, they were wearing funny. I'm not keen on the idea of sipping tires that are not done from the factory. Just my .02

Yeah the problem being is we are going through a large transition in which I will actually be working for another company starting in August. So I have to be available for these. And when you deal with a company that is nationwide the times get all screwed up. I am suppose to have a personal day on Friday too and have to attend another call. :(

    dents & scratches

285/70/17 mtr w/ kevlar if you plan on wheeling a lot
285/70/17 duratracs if you want great snow and rain traction but don't mind a softer tire

i heard bad things with km-2 and the snow around here and that's what drives me away from them...great in the mud, dirt and rocks, but unless it's deep ass snow, the km-2s are below these other two in winter traction...

That was my reasoning when I was looking at the same tires. Wanted something better than the KM2 in the snow for CO, but something that was still knobby and great for rocks in AZ

    Hence the reason I have MTR's :D

Actually the other day when I went off roading I somehow punctured my tire with a rock and had to throw on my spare before we started the trail
