    Hey thanks, I was looking at more stock #'s than mods. I get about 20-22 in the taco double cab. Im really considering a trade for the FJ.

    Anybody have any good ideas on how to adjust the ICON Coilovers? beside using the spanner wrench? I hate that stupid ass wrench with a passion. too short to get any leverage and when i use any sort of cheater bar that thing starts to bend.

    I'm thinking of buying a steel rod and grinding a pin in it to get some mega awesome super strong leverage!

    But really, any tips would be appreciated

    you lifting the side you adjust off the groud before you adjust? world of difference if don't do it already.

    or maybe weld on an extension that runs the length of the spanner. that way you get leverage, and it stiffens the wrench at the same time.

    looks like he took the ground down flat head and sledge hammer to the collars of my coilovers. they are chewed up pretty bad :eek:

    just little tricks you learn along the way. use a strap on both sides though so the coil doesn't bend to one side when you unweight it.

    haha, yeah. don't forget that. i did once...didn't get far before i realized it was being way too hard to turn.

    I use partsgeek for the taco grills & they dont have FJ ones...

    Along the same lines... Anyone have a rough idea of how much space there is between the back of the stock grill & the radiator?:confused:

    oil change...
    I put a piece of either 1/4" or 1/2" (cant rememer the diameter) square tubing over the handle of my spanner wrench that is a little longer than the handle and it made a big difference, it no longer murders my hand and I get better leverage.
