^^ you would think he is a Toyo rep or something. :D

Had MT Baja MTZ before my Duratracs and just didn't like the lack of snow traction which is common with an MT. Loving my Duratracs so far and they have gone everywhere an MT has to date. So ...:notsure:

Yea I have the MTZ's now. They lasted a long time (possibly over 40k, i will have to check) but they did have poor traction in the snow, icy and wet roads. Also didn't do so well with loose dirt. Great for rocks and mud though. Going to be looking for new tires before winter so I am dig'n this convo.

I would say if you have the extra $150+, get the MTRs.

The only three MT tires I would consider are the MTR Ks, Toyos and the Nitto Trail Grapplers.

From the reviews I have seen the MTRs do well in the rocks and dirt but the tread design is not the best for mud. Where as the Toyos and Nittos do well in the mud.

I would rate them like this:
    8.5 - Toyos
    8.0 - MTR Ks (cost)
7.0 - Nittos (limited sizes, mainly for 17"+ wheels)

Im not a huge fan of the Toyos. I love the aggressive look of the MTR's with Kev. They look good for off road and have awesome reviews. The Duratracs look very aggressive as well for an A/T. Ive only wheeled in them a few times with my old jeep.In SNOW only.315 75 16. They did great. They kinda reminded me of a M/T that was good in snow.Witch I guess is why there an A/T lol

Im not feelin the KM2 now since they might not get the job done in snow.

I had some Gerneral Grabber AT2 on my jeep before the Duratracs and they did ok off road. But these M/T on my TACOMATRON are twice as good off road as far as traction in the mountains. Orrr maybe my TACO is just better than the jeep??!!?;)

Im Leaning towards the MTRs But dont be surprised if I get the Duratracs

anyone know if there is good backpacking/fly fishing in colorado? I know there's backpacking, but I'm looking to backpack to some secluded stream and fish.
