    Didn't know how to get the shifter apart :eek: Sprayed carb cleaner in to blast out rubber chunks and grime. shoved a little grease in there best I could with out dissemble. Shifting like new almost. Is the thing that's deteriorating inside shift tower replaceable or should I buy new tower?

    u should seriously talk to Coupe over at xr-underground about a new shifter. he takes care of the crappy rubber part that fails and gets destroyed on the shifter. plus u can have a shorter shifter too
