I recently just sold my 05 f150 and bought an 05 4d taco and love it! My f150 had a 6inch procomp lift on 35s. I definetly dont want to do that to my taco (killed the mpg), because down the road I will be putting a long travel susp. Is there anything i can do now to raise up the front a bit and level it out in the rear? leveling kit? spacers? add a leaf?

Also I am on a tight budget!

    Thanks in advance

Bilstein 5100's up front and an AAL in the rear. Simple, cheap and effective.

i'm looking at doing the same with billies up front and an AAL.
But, if i set the front at 2.5" im hearing I will need new coils and about damage to uca's etc.... What is the truth here?

You do not need new coils if you set them at 2.5, you can still re-use the stock coils but at that point you're preloading the crap out of them so they'll ride stiff. You might need new UCA's though to get your alignment within spec (you should seriously consider new UCA's if you're going to set them to 2.5").

They can vary quite a bit depending on who makes them. I've seen Downsouth Motorsports, Total Chaos, Light Racing and Camburg on this site (maybe others) and seem to run from the mid $400's and up. I'm not real familiar with them though, I specifically kept my lift low to avoid needing UCA's.

There have been group buys on them every so often, maybe get in on one of them if you can wait. Check out the vendors on here, they have pretty good pricing for us members.

yeah, 400 is a bit too much. the billies(just 2) coils and leaf probably would only be 400.
guess i will just have to do the billies @1.75 until i get money for uca's

screw that noise. So, with 1.75 up front, there is probably an easier way to lift/level my back than the AAL huh?

An AAL is pretty simple and very effective. The 3-leaf aal's are very nice in my opinion.

well if your still under warranty and havent done the tsb rear, u can get that done (not the best rear option, but its free) which usually levels the rear 1.5"(!" once it settles) and 5100s on 1.75 which levels pretty nice.

If you want level you'll have to take some measurements but the 1.5" AAL might still leave you with some rake if the front is at 1.75".

I went to get it done, but when we bought the truck it was already 3yrs from its "date of first use". So, that sucks. I think i'm going to argue with them though because it was a certified pre owned and we bought the extended warranty..... Worth a shot.

yeah, KPT has the TSB and 1.75 in the front, which was my original plan. But, I was wanting a little more, just because. Anyway, this is the route i will most likely be going. Billies are fairly cheap and the aal is too. Plus, me and a buddy can put it on so i save some there.

thanks man. And i will post pics, but i probably wont get the lift for another couple months. Ive spent enough on rims, tires, AFE CAI, Exhaust and weather techs this month. lol

I have a readylift kit that i used to have on my truck. I'll sell it cheap if your interested in a spacer lift. It's a 2.25" top coil spacer up front and 1" blocks in the rear. PM me if your interested.
