I want 4x4. I should have gone 4x4 from the get go, but I've had too many memories and love my truck too much to sell it. Plus, it's paid off.

There are times where a double cab would be awesome. Most of the time though I prefer the access cab with the rear seats laid down.

I've put over 50K on my Taco since I got it, I'm happier with it today than the day I bought it.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my truck! drove it off the lot in April 2008 with 5 miles on it...NO ONE test drove it. Just turned over 30,000 miles and I have had no problems at all. I fall more in love with it everday! It is my baby for sure!! ;)

    I like them enough that I'm on my 3rd Tacoma. I had a 2003 DC, a 2005 DC, & now a 2011 DC.

    I have the hose-clamp tailgate lock :-) best $3.14 I've ever spent
Bought my Tacoma last october, since then every time i get in the truck i say to my fiance "i love this truck".... not kidding.

Over the 4th of July weekend we went down to OBX, the taco was incredible in the sand (stock tires aired down). We drove out onto the beach every day without a problem, this truck has literally redefined that way i think about beach trips. Now, everytime i get in the truck i say " i frickin love this truck" haha!

This is my second Tacoma. I bought my first one in 2004 when they first came out with the new body 2005s. I was so worried about putting a scratch on it that it was nerve wracking. Now I just bought a 2008 used in January and it's MUCH more fun because it's already got a few scratches so I don't worry about every new scratch. We have an understanding....she takes care of me and I buy her nice things...kinda like a wife but without the vocal chords to ruin everything.

I like my Tacoma, but if the Ford F150 Ecoboost had been available I probably would have bought that instead -- way more capacity with only a small mpg hit. The Tacoma is alright, but there are a lot of small imperfections, too.

But honestly, the Tacoma does what I need and should be really economical over its lifespan. The only danger will be if I start getting the itch for something newer and fancier a few years from now...

i love my truck but the thing i hate is that the damn suspension squeaks like a mofo! I cant stand it, but it is under warranty so the next time i take it in for a oil change they are gonna have to fix it!

Don't remember seeing this poll thread, but hell yeah I'm happy with it, I've never had a truck that I could drive a 100 miles just to beat the shit out of it on some trail, drive it back without a whimper or a complaint or a problem time after time after time., 167K & going strong....;)

The description of your vehicle is exactly what I should be bringing home tomorrow, except for the color. How long have you had it, and did the suspension squeak from the get go?

This is my first Tacoma. Im coming off a 2004 F250 turbo diesel double cab short bed 4x4 so it seams a little small. It also feels like the doors are going to come off the hinges when the kids slam the doors. I have only been off road with it once while on a fishing trip in the Shasta area. It did great! Oh yeah its is STILL stock. It does only get a little better MPH than my diesel maybe 3-5 mph around town.

On last day June I traded my '09 4WD DC TRD Sport SR5 Barcy red for an '11 4WD AC TRD Sport non-SR5 Barcy red. The '09 was bigger than I needed (never used the back seat for anything other than "stuff"), never liked the feel of its brakes (had it in several times for adjustments), and didn't care for the way it drove/handled (seemed sluggish, big turning radius).

The '11 has better brakes, handles better, seems to have more power (I think this may be due to a transmission that shifts tighter/quicker than in the '09), and has a bit better "fit and finish" than the '09 had (for example, the bed is a good 1/2" closer to the cab). Maybe it's because the '09 was made in Baja and '11 was made in Texas, or maybe it's all just my imagination?

I liked the '09, but like the '11 better. I got the Barcy red again because of my color matched Leer canopy, otherwise I think I'd have gotten white (wouldn't show the scratches as much).

Also, imho, I think the AC is a bit better proportioned than the DC, as far as looks go, but no other trucks out there hold a candle to the looks of any of the Tacomas, gen 1 or 2.

I have had it since April 25th and I noticed it a few days after the drive home. I live in Montana and bought the truck at Phil Meador Toyota in Pocatello Idaho, never noticed it on the 427 mile trip home though, of course I had the radio on.

My only strong regret about my current tacoma is the color. I despise black vehicles with a passion. Tired of them. But.......the price was and is usually the deciding factor when it comes to it. I actually wouldn't mind the crazy blue one or maybe another silver one. can't get better than the white though!
