Gadget, what are your's or the company's plan to warranty the parts? And typically we would assume that your not covering damage to the engine, but to play devil's advocate will you be covering our engines' as well? Lastly for us who wheel in some serious heat, will the current oil supply be enough to cool the charger under heavy intermittent use in 110+ out door temperatures? Thanks man.

If all else fails, the v6 kit cuts throttle if it gets too hot. I'm hoping this kit does the same.

It is officially done. I am waiting for the owner to have the truck picked up and shipped back to him.

Discovered a bug in the engine management system and I worked with the manufacturer to get it sorted out. That resulted in 25 more HP and it runs much better. It is very, very smooth and powerful in all regards.

I am leaving for the FJ Summit Sunday in a 2010 4Runner that I am working very hard to finish another prototype supercharger system and I will try to get the new Tacoma system listed on the URD site during the drive out with a complete list of features and components as well as pricing. I will also issue a discount coupon code for the first 10 people that place their orders. Kits should start shipping in about 30 days. Many of the parts have already been made and the others will be done soon.

This kit turned out very nice. All the parts fit perfectly and the finish on them is top notch. It will also be a very comprehensive kit that will include every nut and bolt, bracket and stainless hardware. The kit will include preprogrammed engine management that is end user tunable as well as an upgraded fuel pump and a fuel delivery upgrades as well has cooler Denso Power Iridium spark plugs. You are going to love the HKS SSQV blow off valve!!!

The kit will ship with an 85mm pulley which dynoed today about 25 HP less than the dyno chart published above. People can upgrade to the smaller pulley if they wish.

There will be an optional prewired plug in harness for the engine management system.

There is built in expandability for those that want to make some serious power. The supercharger mounting bracket and belt drive will accept any of the C30 or the larger C38 series superchargers.

Still trying to nail down the cost of the different components, but I think we are going to initially offer the system in the $4000-$4500 range with a discount for the first 10 customers.

I would really like the first few customers to be fairly close to URD within a days drive so I can meet up with you and verify the tune. I want to make sure there is constancy from one truck to the next.

impressive! I may actually need to consider getting one of these bad boys.

What would I need to do since I have an aftermarket CAI installed? (sorry if its a stupid question)

and how well do superchargers hold up while offroading over high speed bumps and stuff? How much does it weigh? And how much will mpgs decrease? (I'm done asking questions)

    Thanks

    Good questions.

The system is designed to work with the stock air filter box, which flows plenty fine. It is also fully compatable with off road snorkel systems.

You can use a 90 degree 3" silicone boot and a small section of pipe with a fitting for the crank case vent and put a cone filter on then end of it. That is they way I ran the prototype system until I got the custom silicone air box adapter in.

I would guess that the weight of the system is about 40 pounds or so. Most of that is the intercooler. It is very massive and the same one we use on the V6 kit and is rated well over 600 HP. It really sucks a lot of heat out of the compressed air.

There are no worries about using the system off road. I am really into off roading and making our systems compatible with snorkels and winch bumpers is part of the design as well as high durability.

Here is a video of the URD Mark 1 FJ Cruiser system:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs258JaeyOk&feature=player_embedded

As you can see our stuff holds together!!
