New Tacoma Doublecab Scrape in Bed

Got a nasty scrape from hauling coolers and luggage returning from the beach. The location is in the side of the bed above the right wheel well. I know its a truck, but am fairly picky about how my vehicle looks. I tried Mothers Back to Black, but it didn't work. Appreciate suggestions on how to repair. Thank you.

Is it an actual gouge in the bed liner? Or is it just a scuff?

I don't know the exact compound that makes up the composite bed but lots of plastic can be "gently" heated enough to cover scratches, scuffs etc.

I would try a heat gun and plastic trowel. You're not trying to melt it just heat it up enough to cover the scratch some.

 

Just like Jeff B said, I'm not trying to be a jerk but it's a truck bed man...It's supposed to be used and abused.

 

Time to trade it in and get a Prius.

Not trying to be an ass but if you're that particular about scratches in a pick-up bed, this could be a good option for you. That or Line-x.

I use a flat black paint pen from a hobby shop

 

My truck is not a truck. It's a car with an exposed trunk.

The only thing I've put in there was stuff from a Costco run. I won't put anything else in there. If I need to HAUL or TRANSPORT or put gravel or cement chunks in the bed (Ooh gawd forbid) then that's when I borrow back my Chevy S10 that my best friend has. Heck, just the other day I was asked by work to go pick up 18 cases of corn. I laughed and told them my co worker can get them in his Chevy.

Not everyone wants to absolutely trash their $30,000 toy. So what if the guy wants to fix it?! I hate hearing that "It's a truck, it's supposed to get messed up" crap.
