Timberland Mica looks good overall with day to day stuff, but its a dark enough color to be as bad as black is at times...

My BSP is impossible to keep clean for more than a day. Once I drive through rain it looks like shit or even if it sits outside for a few hours I can just see the fine dust particles on the hood. I am also very careful about trying to avoid making new scratches when washing/waxing, but I still have so much fine swirls. I know that it's a truck, but since it's still relatively new I want to take best care of it, especially since I plan on keeping it long-term. What people say about black cars being difficult to take care of are definitely true and I believe them now.

Easiest colors to take care of are gold and silver. My silver 4Runner and my mom's gold Lexus hide scratches and imperfections really well. The gold Lexus hides dirt really well too.

I wash my truck at least once a week. Magnetic Gray Metallic and it doesn't show off dirt that much. That's one reason why i chose the color cause my Dad's Tundra is almost the same color only a little lighter.

My silver goes two or three weeks between washings and looks great the whole time.

Yeah, honestly I picked this color thinking it would be easier to keep clean - nothing be further from the truth ...well, perhaps black ;)

I'll throw in two cents for pyrite. It mostly stays in my garage during the day and at night and has yet to see rain. It is very close to the color of normal dust and dirt and thus looks relatively clean after a week or so of driving. I can see the layer of dust on the hood while I am driving and even though it looks duller(compared to when just cleaned) it looks spotless from 5 feet away.

I have owned random colors through the years, black, red, white, silver, etc. In my experience metallic silver has been the best color to hide dirt, straight black the worst, and metallic dark green the second worst, After several silver vehicles though, it got boring and I reluctantly bought another dark truck. To my surprise, pyrite has been relatively easy to keep clean.

Silver...It cleans itself. When it rains I park it outside in the driveway.

Actually I am not anal about my vehicles shine. I Use Zaino one a year because it keeps water sheeting for that long and actually hand wash it maybe a couple times a year and run it through a carwash after driving in the rain to get the road grime off. That's about it.

It's a friggin truck not a concourse car.........Trucks don't mind a little dirt. Even us Mall Crawlers who don't go off road. One of the reasons I bought a truck is not to worry about where I park, keeping it shiny and bought silver because dings and dirt are "invisible" anyway. You don;t realize how dirty the thing was until it's washed LOL

BTW Black is not a color...Its a career for those who are anal.

My 99 tacoma was super white - that was by far the easiest vehicle I've owned to keep clean, but I did not live on a dirt road ...

    back to bone stock.
silver looks clean most of the time. i usually let the number of bird shits on my truck dictate when i wash it. my ability to care is waning. it is my hunting rig. i keep the inside super clean, but the outside takes a beating.

hunting season is coming back around. i'll probably lay down some wax, and let it go until january.

Lighter colors are the easiest to keep clean, show less scratches and dings. That is partly why I got silver. I kinda wanted pyrite mica but mine was the only one I could find in a 4x4 and with the JBL package. Otherwise probably would have got the pyrite mica. I've owned a white uh um........Nissan Hardbody and it was pretty easy to keep clean. I like the lighter colors. Darker can be prettier if kept clean but are more work.

My black Taco actuall stays pretty clean. I think it might be because the paint is still newer (15 months old) and I try to wax it at least every 6 months, but I've been surprised about how it looks after a couple weeks. And a California Car Duster goes a long way to keep it looking clean.

Of course it depends on the tire wheel combo. The more the tires stick out the more it slings up on the paint. Mine is still stock so it stays pretty clean.

My truck is silver so it's easy to keep clean. I usually wash and wax it once every month or two, but not at all during the winter.
