Do you carry this? Everyone should.

These have saved my ass and kept me from having to go to the tire shop countless times. Street or dirt, doesn't matter, you'll use them for both.

Great part is too, you can probably get the 2 tools, the plugs, and if you use a cheap little $14 cigarette lighter pump from Wally World, all for under $25 or so.

Last 2 months....used them twice for my lowered Taco, and once on the beast when I dropped down a slab on my property right onto a piece of rebar. The beast has $300 MT Baja Claws and 37's aren't easily found used just anywhere. Been using these plugs for years and swear by them.

The plugs get used too often, the patches luckily haven't had to get used (air mattress, stranded mountain biker maybe..) and the valve cores did get used once when my propane stove decided to clog forcing me to take the valve that's sealed to avoid tampering apart and replace the core. That was crazy...but typical for my luck.

I keep the plugs and glue in a air tight container to keep them fresh.



8" x 6" bag takes up no room at all.



No need for a pricey pump setup, a cheapo from the store will work fine



I hope this thread can help someone turn a bad situation in the middle of nowhere into a fun little experience. Feel free to post up some of your experiences.

 

Glad I'm not the only one rolling around with 2 or 3 random valve stems in my truck, ya' know, just in case.

An extra valve stem or 2 is something a lot of guys hitting the trails hard should keep in their truck. Heard several stores about vavle stems getting caught on something and leaking air.

Oh, and BTW, nice skids for the 5 Luggers BT.

 

Yeah, rubber valve stems are known to pull out when you get stuck in mud and your tire is spinning. This is why metal ones with a lock nut are best for off road. Funny you mention the stems, I just bought a 2 pack at WalMart recently for a friends trailer I had because one of his was dead and leaking, went to install it and realized the hole in the rim was too small, and remembered I had these and one of mine fit. Once again my little green pack saved the day. They've been in this pack for 17 years, at least!

A blown/missing valve stem can ruin the day pretty quick.

Ehh, them 6 luggers already have skids. 5 Luggers FTW!
