Will removing my flaps increase the chances of more dings on the paint? My truck is black sand pearl so you see every little blemish on it, and i just hate how those flaps look!!

Removing the mud flaps alone doesn't cause a ton more rock chips.

Removing the mud flaps, installing wide tires that stick out past the fenders, driving off road, breaking the tires loose while off road ... that's what causes more rock chips.

If the truck sees little off road time it shouldn't be a problem.

I took mine off 3 + years ago after breaking them on rocks. My trucks has a ton of chips in both the paint and plastic. If you are worried about damage, don't do it. I am at the point I don't care. I just don't want MAJOR damage. Dings, scratches, and dents have all been having fun.

I've got 285's that stick out well past the edges of my truck, and removed the mud flaps. I do hear rocks hitting the truck pretty often, but I keep checking and as of yet there haven't been any actual chips in my paint at all. Everytime I wash it, it looks brand new again. I've used my truck pretty hard (for a prerunner) and it always comes out looking fine after a good wash. I wouldn't worry too much about the paint man, it will look fine.
