Just ordered these guys off of EBAY cuz i simply don't have time with work lately to do the BHLM and it seems everyones first set is shitty anyways haha. Just wondering if anyone else has ordered these and if install was easy aka pops right into stock location without any fab/cutting?

Lots of people have the revotek headlights. They use the same bolt holes and the stockers.

the fitment and mounting points should be the same, the only thing you want to do is put a bead of silicone on them because the only issues about ebay lights is them fogging up

right i'll remember that, i was just more worried about fitment. I can always drill a 1/16" hole in the light as well if fogging is an issue

Yup they sure do fog up....especially when u wash your taco..... I mean at least for me, Now this might be an obvious question...but where exactly would you put the silicone ? And what silicone should I use?

Wouldnt that make the fogging worse? The idea is you want to never get moisture into the headlight in the first place.

i'd rather buy the ebay set than do the BHLM mod anyway. let me know how it works out, im thinking about buying a set but im sketchy about aftermarket light output

I bought these awhile back after a failed BHLM redo. Ive had no issues with fogging or anything like that. Only problem I had was getting the headlights to clip into the grill, just needed a little force. Also the bolt holes didnt exactly match up with the tough to get bolt under the headlight.

Yes that would make it worse. If you get fogging in your headlights, the best thing to do is to put a silica gel pack in them, which will absorb the moisture. Then seal them with silicone.

Mine are eBay lights and they have never fogged, and I didn't seal them.

Are these 'revotec' lights exactly the same as stock, except with a black housing? Essentially a pre-made BHLM? That would be great. Opening up the shell of the stock headlights would scare the crap out of me...

Would you mind telling us where exactly you applied silicone? And what product you used? Maybe it's obvious once you have the headlights in hand, but from the pictures I'm having a hard time figuring out what seams people are sealing up.

I plan on buying a set of these just as soon as I get a truck.

It might sound stupid but did you have to open the headlights to put the silicon(BHLM oven procedure..)?

Bought some silicone window sealant for when mine arrive. From my understanding, the silicone sealant needs to be applied to the outer rim of the housing where the 2 pieces are stuck together. Chances are these lights are surplus stock toyota light bought up by this company and they simply do the BHLM and sell them, so they have sealant problems just as people on here have had doing the mod....just a guess tho

Same ones I ended up with...

I have had them for about 8 months and the clear coat is halfway peeled off of the lenses and they look like hammer shit.

where exactly would u drill the hole?

where can u get the gel pack?

i too bought BHLM off ebay, had them for a while, fogged up on me then i didnt open them, i just reapplied window sealant to the whole top n both sides of the HL after thoroughly drying out the lamp. it was ok for a while but just now i noticed (after sitting overnite in the rain) that moisture got in there again some how. i dont understant, ive blasted through water puddles on the street n let sit over nite n no moisture but after sitting in rain - there it was. shitty.

    any ideas?
