I just finally got a pic of mine. Had to have my partner take it. When took it I got a pic of my pony tail. Mine is in remembrance of my father. My next one will be in rememberance of my mother. I'll post it in a few.

Thank you. I'm Sure you're aware how much it hurts on the spine!!! I actually cried. I put the pic of my pony tail to get me off the main page.

 

So the small dino came over today and we did the full monty detail on the exterior of his Tacoma. I have to say the the Pyrite Mica is a wonderful color to work with and looks so nice when polished.

Washed the truck then taped it up for polishing.






We did a two pass polish using Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with a white pad and a 2nd pass with Menzerna Micro Polish with an orange pad. Mike was using an older Porter Cable set on 4 and I was using a Gariots Garage polisher set on 3. After polishing we did an isopropyl alcohol wipe down and checked to see if we needed any additional polishing.

We then applied 2 coats of Zaino Z2 and one coat of Fuzion wax as a topper. While Mike was doing this work I cleaned all 4 of the tires/rims and cleaned up all the door jambs. The entire process took about 7 hours.

the only thing that was weird was when she was tattooing about an inch on either side of my spine i would get a sensation of heat running down my arms lol.

i was there for 8 hrs to get that one done. apparently i bleed a lot

 

WOW!! Looks awesome.

 

Toyota really has some nice colors. Pyrite Mica is one of them. The metal flake in the paint really comes alive after polishing.

Haha! I had to end up lifting my shirt up and have my partner take it.

I had no heat. Just shear pain. It took like 4 hours if I remember right. He had to take a break. Its hard to tell from pic but there is slot of fine detail. That sucks you bleed alot!

 

I would rather empower you to do your Tacoma. LOL

It will take 7 hours with both of us hustling. For a truck with 37K on the clock his paint was in really decent shape. Made the job a lot easier.

 

after 6 hrs it started to hurt. by the end i was starting to shake from the pain when she was doing the last bit of filling in.

 

i got a lot more kms on mine. my front bumper looks like a 13 yr old boys face.

damn thing is super cratered from all the hits

 

Even with a lot of road rash, polishing will make the finish look a lot better. At 75 KMH no one can see the road rash.

 

I never thought of getting tats for mom, dad, or my sister or for the boys when they were born.
