    Yeah, I do believe there is a magnetic mounting strip that attaches to the dash.

    I'm waiting for the wired model to come out :D

    PS - The wired version is designed to be tied into the dimmer circuit (and will still work when dismounted by automatically switching to batteries).

    It all depends how often you 'forget' to turn it off... IF you are mindful, you can expect at least six months with certain color sets. RED and AMBER colors draw more current and thus diminish slightly quicker - again, it's all based on useage. We've had some go over a year and a half. Please feel free to ask other users their opinions. So far, we've had no complaints to speak of.

    We have a 30-day satisfaction guarantee - return it for ANY reason. Also, we back it for a full 3-years for performance (batteries are consumable but, readily available. We can get those for you if you want for probably less than you can, b/c we buy in volume (and ship them to your mailbox!).

    Oops. I missed that little MAJOR detail. Sorry about that. My friend has a 4Runner and we contemplated designing a unit for it - we just don't yet see a demand. There are an aweful lot of 4Runners out there so it MIGHT happen. We DO have preliminary designs for the 4Runner.
