    I used to ride at 24. But i did read somewhere that says when you combine the speed of the boat plus the speed that you are creating by cutting into the wake...if you cut hard enough you can reach up to 50 :eek:

    Yeah thats the truth. It feels like hitting the ground. They said that too, it won't hurt that bad your landing in water. Riiiiggghht. That makes it not hurt! :rolleyes:

    I can imagine, from the videos i've seen it looks so much smoother of a landing, and it does look tons easier. I would probably need to shorten up my rope too and get a little more air. Right now I'm only at about a foot and a half of air, but it feels like Im farther up than I really am. And your right about the pain it wouldn't be so bad and I'd get used to it if I could ride more, I only get to about 3-4 times a year. How fast did ya'll usually run the boat while riding?

    Depends on the ammount of weight in the boat. If it was my usual group riding. We had 1500lbs. of water weight in the boat. 3 guys in the boat, one riding. We would be between 22 and 24 riding about 75-80 feet behind the boat.

    With my bro's boat (the Triton) were usually at about 21-23mph so that I could get proper wake. It's hard to jump and do stuff behind a bass boat. I'd say my rope length is about 60ft or so. A little closer in and I could probably hit bigger wake and have less air length to travel to get to the other side of the wake.

    Yeah they are, thats the truth, especially when the rope is in the water and not in the air on a ski pole! That's all I have to ride behind though. When I first started I rode behind a Ski Natique and it scared the hell out of me!

    Yeah...the first time we had the boat weighed down...It looked like I was riding into a wall...scared the hell out of me. I used to have pictures of me riding next to the wake..and the wave was thigh high on me..and im 6'1" ahahaha.
