I e-mailed a dealer where I bought my 09 Tacoma from and he said there isn't gonna be any major redesign until 2014 or 2015.

Ha Ha Ha! Hey buddy were not singling you out. It's just funny because everybodys dealer tells them something different. My brother-in-law is a dealer too and thinks there is supposed to be a change as well and expects "something different" in 2012 but assured me that it's wrapped up pretty tight and nobody knows anything in the dealer world unless they're high up and they haven't been telling. This is of course before the annual dealer meeting. He told me he would let me know when he sees a picture or hears any solid info, but it seems we will probably find out at the same time. I trust him, he's my dealer and he told me so...j/k I trust him because he's family. On here were just messing with you.

This is the problem that we are all facing on this thread. all the information, if any of the stuff is true from people that actually do know something, is being mixed in with people who dont have a clue and are just speculating. Too bad we dont really know who has a clue or not about the 2012.

When is this annual dealer meeting? Was this the meeting that took place at the end of June or is this a different meeting to take place in the near future?

I believe the annual meeting took place in at the end of June in Las Vegas. Not to add to the speculation, but look at these two pictures:
    http://www.valetvip.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/toyota-hilux-2010.jpg
    http://www.drivearabia.com/news/2011/07/17/all-new-hilux-debuts-in-uk-uae-saudi-gcc/
These two pics are the 2010 Hilux and the 2012. Based upon what we have read from more credible sources, any changes to the Tacoma for 2012 mirror these minor differences. Grille, signal mirros, etune nav system. If you are expecting something noticeably different I think you will be disappointed.

While at the dealer I saw the highlander in person, it looks very 4runnerish. After seeing it I don't expect the new tacoma (whenever that is) to look like the highlander because they made the highlander look like the 4runner.

I bet when ever the redesign does happen, and it goes public, there's gonna be atleast 4 guys to post up pics in here. :D and a few new threads will also be made. When said threads are made, some one is gonna put "repost" on the reposted threads. :p

i hope they do this..i like the look of my 2005. but, it'd be nice to add some plug and play mods to enhance our trucks. oem signal heated mirrors would be sweet.

The national dealer meeting was on 29 June and shortly after is when we got the intel on the two sources stating their friends saw the truck in the meeting to have the fenders, hood, new dash and ENTUNE...and the same 4.0. Still hope the 4.0 was just overlooked.

Ok, so this good as gold info mentions a dash redesign that can be seen on some late build 2011 trucks....interesting as I don't believe any 2011 trucks had dash changes except for the gauges, and if that is the extent of the dash "redesign" I am assuming the other changes would amount to nothing as well. Just saying....

You guys are f'ing retarded. I have no reason to b.s. you, I spoke directly with a district manager at the toyota regional sales office in kansas city. He was at the meeting in vegas and saw the tacoma first hand. He said the hood, headlights, fenders, and dash are changing as I previously reported. Fenders look more aggressive but not like the new 4runner. You can take it or leave it but that is what it is going to be as you will see soon enough in a few months. As far as I'm concerned, unless you have factual information to state, don't post. There is no reason for this thread to be 30 pages long.

I couldn't locate your post. What did the district manager state about V6 engine? Single VVT-i or updated Dual VVT-i? Thanks in advance.

I was under the impression that there hasn't been a diesel option from Toyota, because the one in the Hilux did not meet US emissions regulations. Is there any chance that this "cleaner" 2012 Hilux Diesel could sneak in stateside?

I'm ready to buy and with used tacos being ridiculous around here, I might as well get a new one for another grand or two.
