Anyone knows if a camper from 2006 tacoma x-runner would fit on my 2010 double cab long bed? The seller says his x-runner's bed was 6ft.
Has dimensions of tacoma's beds changed lately?

How are these caps attached to the bed? is there a difference between 2006 model and 2010?

Mine had holes drilled through the fiberglass and bolted onto metal pieces that slid into the bed rail system... I suck at explaining stuff. Good Luck.

Unless the prior owner did something to alter it or lost the brackets it should attach to the rail system. I have one and thats how mine attaches. You should just contact the person you are thinking about buying it from and ask.

Depends on how good of a paint job you want...Spray-Glo is somewhat decent, they're a southeast paint franchise kinda like Maaco except slightly better. Just go get some quotes from a few body shops.

Well i want it to last. I wouldn't want to have paint peeling in few months.

Unless you know someone in the paint industry there is no cheap way to aquality job. Just man up, research paint shops in your area and pay for the onewith the work you like. We can't make all of the choices for you.

Not to be rude but you have asked for help about how the top attaches whenyou really only needed to ask the seller. You asked for a "cheap"option to painting it because you bought a different color. You didn’t like the suggestion that was given and said you wanted it to last. Unless you find someone on here thatlives next door and has had a paint job from a place that they can direct you to, you’re going to have to do the research on your own. Go to a couple local shops, check out their work, ask for quotes, decide which you want based on price and quality of work. We are here to "help"but you do have to be a little self-sufficient at some point.

If the seller would be able to answer it i wouldn't be asking here. The seller didn't know anything about it. I can call the local shops and ask around but since i have no experience with this kind of work i better ask and see if someone will be better educated about paint jobs then me.
I don't know what jobs Maaco or SprayGlo do, quality wise. That's why this forum is here,to ask for help, correct?
I don't need advice like yours, so please don't bother with completely useless and pointless replies. Thanks

Oh and btw where did i ask for CHEAP painting option?

If you notice I am the one that answered how the top actually attaches. So I did'nt only provide "useless" and "pointless" replies.

I find it hard to believe that the seller would not know how it attaches. If that were the case it would leave me with a feeling that the seller might be kind of "shady" in which case I would not buy from them. Either way, if you have no experience painting and want it professionally done, then you will still have to find someone very local that has had a paint job done that could speak from experience. Otherwise you still need to check out your local shops and check out their work. A better idea would be to simply google paint shops in your area and then check out their work. Either way, we cant do that for you.
