Found some mud the other night. Good news is that it didn't get IN the boot (it was a deep mud hole on the trail and I sank pretty quick) and that my boots are still water proof...it took about 2 minutes of standing in the creek and scrubbing to get most of it off! Yay for Merrell's!

How long have you had your Merrell's? I know the water proofing on mine crapped out after 60 straight hours of rain and having to go through mud and streams for about 10-15 miles each day.:(

this pair I've had for about a year and a half. I wear them a ton too - I don't make a regular habit of soaking them though . There are lots of miles racked up on these from summer hikes and snowshoeing. They also survived the 3 day monsoon that we called a TW meet here in June.

It wasn't my choice but worth it in the end, had to get from point A to point B, easiest way was through the muck and the stream. :D After being in a cloud for two days all of the trails were reduced to mud pits

I use this when I'm car camping. The one I use is a coleman though. Works very well.

Happened to me but only because I left it near a fire too long drying out, use a heat gun, worked well for me. Or a campfire. Just be careful setting it.

but I'm looking for something like...

I love Merrell - the only reason I have somewhere around 6 pairs  is use (sneakers vs boots), color, material (heavier for winter, lighter for summer) I don't think I've worn any of them out!

Nope. Pants were clean...just me shoe was dirty. :p

I almost melted mine at the meet in June...there is just a slight shrinkage on one side of one sole. I think I rescued it just in time though!

I have one of these and it works pretty well. Only thing that's annoying is the side panels fall if you breath on them the wrong way

They seem to be hella expensive but if you wait, you can find them on sale.
