The Dorian Yates program isn't for everyone mang. Different things work differently for everyone. For ex,low reps doesn't work for my quads. If I want to see growth I usually have to keep it in the 15-30rep range

Tough to keep up motivation during times like that. :( How long have you been with the new routine?

Have you tried taking a week off to let your body fully recover? I've found I usually come back stronger after a single week. Once the time off reaches 2 weeks I start to lose strength and a whole lot of endurance, but taking that 1 week every 6-8 weeks really seems to help me.

The only way u will be able to loose weight is to have a strict diet. Diet is way more important than the actual workouts.
    * and just a tip, its highly unlikely for someone to loose weight and gain muscle because your body is constantly in a caloric deficit, your muscles wont be able to receive all the nutrients as well as the extra nutrients in order to grow

I tried this one because I haven't done anything like it before. I was doing Kris Gethin's 12 week daily trainer before this. I am just really having a hard time putting on mass. I am in pretty decent shape, but I am no runner so I have no need to be super skinny. I just want to be bigger. I am 6'3" and have an athletic build, so it is tough to put the mass on.

It seems as though if I take anything more than about 4 days off, I really start losing strength and I don't feel as good.

I hit a plateau when I moved back to CO. Mostly because I was excited about all the good food places around here! But I talked to a trainer and he gave me a few ideas and I changed up my routine and slacked off the bad food and I feel much better with a lot more motivation now.

    Keep it up.

And mjp, my summer has been awesome! Lol nothing better to start the summer then a long drive home to surprise your dad on the morning of the tough mudder and watch him run the thing then get a job within a week of moving to a new location. Gym is 3 min away from the house and the job is in town, and very eager to work with my school schedule for the police academy. Shit's been going very very good.

tough! as hell. motivation/pain makes it pretty hard to even want
to lift much less do it. I didn't start lifting until I was 43 after about 28 years
    of martial arts.

Pain will come and go. When u really start getting into it again you'll miss the pain.
It is difficult to find motivation at times but you gotta dig deep down and find it! The results alone will help, if not YouTube some videos or add some new music

They didn't do the two at the same time? It's not like...never mind. Kind of weak they didn't do both at the same time.

nerver damage is a whole different animal when it comes to pain.

muscles/tendon and nerves all pieced and sewn back together, not to
mention the permanent titanium pins in the forearm bones holding it all
    back together. :)
