I did 35% and I'm real happy with it.

I took it to a local shop that I've never gone to. But a friend of mine got a job there and I figured I give it a shot. They said "Oh yea, factory tint is almost always 20%, we'll put 20." When I got it back it was wayyy too dark. But tint does get lighter as it drys and ages. So I figured I'd wait. But, its still darker.

I don't think you're ever going to get a "perfect" match to the factory tint. 35% might be a tad lighter, but 20% might be a tad darker. I mean a butt hair either way........

I think my 35% is really good, and I'd rather it be a smidge lighter than darker. 35% is pretty dark at night. I wouldn't want it any darker.

Turned out great. Looks like it came from the factory. The guy that does all my tinting work does an excellent job. SunGuard tint has a lifetime warranty, never had to use it in the 10 years he's been doing my work. ( atintofclass.com. )

30 up front 15 rear windows- I wanted to be legal, but liked it darker in the rear.
I believe even if you go darker then legal on the front, but go a shade or two darker with the rears, the cops will see the two shades and it may appear legal from a distance. :D

i agree. in TN it’s 35%. right now i think i’m just going to do 20% on the front. i don’t fill i could go much darker on the back and see good in my drive way. if you look back a page. you can see how dark it is. you see the landscaping lights. but you can’t see my truck on the other side of them or the tree right next to the one on the far right.

yeah i searched and found nothing other than. 30% vs 20%. and 30 is to light for me. and i figured it would help other members out at the same time.

I got my windows done today. I got 30%, I figured it was dark enough considering I have never had tint before and i can always go darker anyway.

It feels weird to drive with tint on the front windows after driving without it for so long.

I got 15% all around, front and back (and back glass). I had 5% on my last truck and didn't like not being able to see at night. 15% is perfect though. You can see through the front a little bit, but really have to stick your face up to the back to see anything at all during the day. And I don't have any real problems seeing at night. I'll try to remember to get some pics in the daylight tomorrow

EDIT: here's one, I'll try to get a better one tomorrow

good choice with the 20%, i went 20 and think it is the perfect balance for night/day driving

Probably a good choice if you're worried about it. But for what it's worth, I don't have much problem at all backing up in the woods at night with 15% all around. But 20 should be safe for sure and still look good

I asked for tint on the front windows that matched the rear. When I drove away I realized the fronts are now noticeably darker than the rear windows. Must be 20% or maybe even 15%. But you can't tell from the outside, and it looks like deep roll edition.
