Hey Mike, Did you get to wheel that Naches this past weekend? Curious how it all went, how the trail conditions were?

Willsonville has typicality been cheaper on parts AND labor (i called around once) Beaverton has always given me good service.
I have had some horrible experiences at Broadway/they broke my motor.

Fort Stevens then drove down to Cannon beach after that. Hit up Tillamook for dinner and cruised back to beaverton on Hwy 6. Oh and I stopped at browns camp for a peek around. I've never been down there so it was fun!

Well, we could have planned better. We had 15 rigs through the weekend, and it was difficult finding a trail that could accommodate everyone. Additionally, there were a lot of closures due to flood damage, erosion, and blow-down.
We eventually decided to split into 3 groups. During the decision of who would go into what group, some people thought we had made a conclusion and started heading off  This was pretty annoying because I was waiting to head out with the medium group, another guy got lost trying to find the hard group, and one of us who wanted the medium group ended up in the hard group.
I only got an hour or two of actual trail time near the north part of the trail, but it was rewarding to take some guys who had never seen actual offroading and get them on some obstacles. One guy said, "Yeah, I got to do some insane stuff!" (we had to spot him around an off-camber turn around a stump that he didn't think could be done :))

We had to turn around because there was a 2 foot diameter tree that blew down and a Ford group was having a winch-fest over it. Tried going down the other way, another winch fest in that direction.

Our hard group said their obstacles were taking each guy up to an hour to get through at times due to slick mud and ruts. One of the experienced guys had to take 5 attempts to get through one section of mud, even with aggressive use of his super charger.

If you go now, your best bet is taking some trail called "676" and going from there. Getting to Funny Rocks is a big challenge and might require an alternate path.

    ^Hey that sounds like fun...

I know that there is like a million posts on here about rock rails. They all look the same to me minus paint, powder coat ect.
    Next
I dont mind the cost of them it seems fair BUT.... most companies are trying to charge like $250 for shipping! So im feeling kinda jew about this and am trying an alternate route.
I have contacted a couple people off craigslist, but you dont really know the extent of their craftsmanship until its done.
    SO
If anyone knows someone that can do an good job who is 'local' please let me know:D
    Thanks:D

The differences are mainly how far they stick out and the diameter of tube.

    I hate shipping.

Talk to Timicha with Elite Offroad. He's in the southern part of the state, but comes up to Tillamook every now and then.

Alternatively you can try metaltech in Newberg, but they are pretty spendy.

I HATE shipping costs. It's like paying labor at a shop. I avoid it, whatever it takes. :frusty:

I'll be going up there this weekend with a few of my buddies. If you're interested you can come tag along. We'll be doing some of the harder stuff depending on the weather.

On a side note, I tried joining the nwfjcc site but no one has okayed my registration.

I'd love to go if it wasn't so far.
Just make sure you don't underestimate things. Lots of closures, and everything that is left has become much harder due to use and extreme weather - one of those winch-fests was on an easy trail!

Hmm let me poke some people
