How many have failed the Satoshi???

I went to home depot and went to the screen door section and it had the mesh i wanted and i asked them if they sold it separatley and they said no. I'll try Lowes this weekend, is it hard to cut?

good luck! its easier than you think. Only thing i'd stress is working with the headlight fast right after you get it out of the oven. once you get one corner separated you can almost just pull it apart but a nice flat head screwdrvier helps. Im sure you know people that could help you with it though.

here it is finished , came out decent i guess needs a lil more sanding the paint shows all ur sanding errors , couldnt see them with just the primer

 

grille looks great! color match grille looks the best IMO, how did you fit the lights in behind, what model lights are those? want to fit my kc slimlites behind my future satoshi...

 

You gotta move the horns and use them holes to mount the lights. You can see holes on that medal thing in there to mount them. lights are IPF something. Lol They were 179$ Just find places to mount the horns. Its easy

 

Use a semi gloss instead of flat. It looks way better and hides the sanding errors. Good job

 

I've got the satoshi mod fabrication down to an hour and a half with no bondo or fiberglass. I found a shop today that will do the color matching on the outer surround. Have sold 3 full satoshi's on the sly so far... Coming soon: made to order satoshi grills.

 

Don't get me wrong... My first satoshi too 5 days last summer... I was nervous as hell & was using my OEM Grill with no back up...

Here's a look at what I've come up with:

nice & seamless and All ABS plastic... following the contour of the stock grill lines.

My first attempt at the Satoshi turned out horrible. Could see all the sand lines and where the contours on the grill didn't match up. Even had some major low spots you could see and feel. Tried to paint and hide it. No dice. Even tried to use Plasti Dip on it as it's a heavier paint. Ended up sanding it all the way back down and redoing it. Turned out way better second time. Not perfect but am very happy with it now.
