lift or rims and tires?

until today i was going to save for a set of bilsteins and an AAL, start there and piece together a lift. would i be better off getting a set of rims and tires first ? right now im running the stock 245s and after thinking about it a lot those might look to small with the lift of the truck. opinions ?

 

4x4? We need more details also about your intentions for the lift. Wheeling or cosmetic?

 

unfortunately for you...these two things go hand in hand...hard to get a lift and not get ATLEAST new tires..

Save and get them both together. If you're like me and cant wait for anything, get the lift first. Won't be able to fit the tires on w/o a lift anyways.

 

If im not mistaken..you can run 265/75/16 on a stock 2nd gen 4x4 or prerunner if thats what you have. if this is the case.. these tires dont look bad once you get it lifted as well.

 

Truth. That is what I am running right now on my 05. Anything bigger needs a lift/work done to make em fit

 

You could get wheels and tires first but if you plan on lifting it later then you are probably going to want larger tires after the lift. So you should probably wait

 

sorry for the lack of info .. i have a 09 4x4 i was looking into 265 70 17s i know they will fit. my plan was to go with the billies and a AAL than save for the rims and tires than coils an UCAs. the end product is basically the toytec ULK. but piece by piece because i cant afford everything at once.

 

go rims and tires first...cuz the truck will look stupid when you put it up with stock tires

well yeah but saving 100 bucks a month isn't going to cut it, id rather save what i can and get some mods little by little
