anyone try this on there taillights

    oh sorry i hought you were talking about your Taco.
    might have been you didn't wet sand it, uneven coats, clean it very good...... I mean check with yourself with the steps that Johnson8537 gave. Try and think back

    the only reason I am skepticle is because my buddy owns a paint shop a few hrs away or I would have him do it but he says when ever he tints he uses a gloss black automotive paint with clearcoat based. And his turns out awesome. I would like to try it again just wish I had something to practice on 1st.

    you can go to the junk yard and find an inexpensive taillight from whatever and practice on that..

    what grit should i wet sand at I sanded it down with 800 grit originally is 800 gonna be to much to wetsand at?

    sorry, well your gonna have to get the grit as fine as possible so you wont make actual scratches...

    thats what im doing next time..... im tired of the spray tints fading off and having to redo them.... this is the way to go IMO

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
    x2 on spray tint -- Mine's been on for 2ish years now and has almost faded back to stock.

    Yup... those are tinted... :laugh:

    It might work with a heating gun to stretch it a little. I don't know if that'll work though. Similar to Lamin-x's installation...
