    Very well said! It is the same here in Texas, you will be in a very low population area with almost no traffic and the speed limit is 55. The small town police departments fund 70% of their budget from speeding tickets in these areas. That is not protecting and serving, it is invoicing and collecting!

    Same with the LEO's here in Houston. On the way to and from work I try to spot an officer who is NOT talking on a cell phone. It is almost impossible! If it is not safe for me to talk on a handheld phone (and I agree that it is not) why is it safe for them? Do they train on how to drive and talk on the phone? (Can we make all women drivers take this training?) :crapstorm:

    Like you said, I'm not condoning speeding but I do agree that speed limits in some areas are (to me) open to logical interpretation.
