    How are people plasti dipping their rear chrome bumpers and their wheels? I thought plastidip was meant to be sprayed on plastic.

    I managed to find 2 cans. I want to do my badges and rear bumper. Will I have enough? I can't find any more in the city or surrounding areas. :(

    looks allot better don’t it? i did mine. it completely changed the look of it! i need to put the one on my tail gate on.

    That's because you're using a high pressure sprayer from a car wash. If you use a water hose you won't have that issue. User Error. :cool:

    oil change...
    Bug splats at highway speeds are unaviodable... a water hose wont get those off, scrubbing would tear it up just as easily...

    No need to tape off anything. I sprayed the whole cap and then peeled it off the chrome when dry....no patience needed.

    That's like yer opinion man. I plastidipped my grille and my wheels and it has held up better than paint and is much easier to touch up if it gets messed up. I painted my grille with black spray paint first and it didn't hold up very well so I tried plastidip and it lasted through the winter and still is holding up now.

    The only reason I see paint coming off before plasti dip is you did not prep the surface, use adheasion promoter, primer, and did not clear coat. If you did the above steps you should be good. I plasti dipped my buddies rear window and it came off at the self wash station.

    It didn't peel off or anything, it chipped really bad from all the freeway driving and from the the winter and road salt, etc. I've taken a power washer to both my plastidipped wheels and grille and it did nothing.
