Try getting the antenna off of a Honda S2000. It is a stubby antenna that is just a little bit longer that the above ones mentioned. Works pretty well for me.

I hacked 4 inches off mine. The parking garage at work was driving me fucking crazy. Signal is still good. Then I Sharpied' it back to black. I don't even notice it.

My truck got in a battle royale with a parking lot arm and came out with a broken antenna. I am also looking for a replacement but I keep seeing the same poor reviews with the stubby antennas. I cant decide if I will just say eff it and not buy one at all. or got for a cheapo one just for sanity purposes.

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
I bought a Ebay 10" one for like $13 shipped 2 years ago, I get perfect reception on my 1999.

Weird that the 2nd gens dont get good reception with stubbys:rolleyes:

I called Radio Shack just now because I could not find it on their website. Sounds like they no longer sell that antenna. I did a little research and found what looks identical online. http://www.discountautoantennas.com/SPORTYBLACKFLEXIBLERUBBERANTENNA.html

I got it originally because I was sick of my antenna hitting the garage door when I pulled in and out. That was in 2002. So yeah I guess RS has the right to change their product line.
